Culotta and The Prince just said it on 104.5...Said Chavis begged Cam from booth to eat up clock when Mett, Juice, and Odell were lighting up Georgia. They stated he wanted to eat up clock to rest defense.

Probably didn't happen that way.

It was a high scoring back and forth offensive game.

He probably just wanted some time to run down to the concessions for hot dogs.

IF OBJ doesn't fumble a punt after the D got a stop, LSU "breaks serve" and goes up two scores, likely wins.

This game had a similar feel to classic USC loss. Such a well-played back-and-forth offensive game that it was hard to be disappointed with the loss. Memories are pretty positive.

Bruh, I'm not revisiting a tough loss from 2013. You're on your own man.

IIRC, that wasn't an option that day with the way the game was going.

Take it up with them, merely repeating what was said.

He had been playing with fire all year on kickoffs and punts. It finally came back to bite him in the arse in one of the most important games of the year.

I mean it was game 5 and not sure exactly what you mean by playing with fire

With LSU being so good defensively and so poor offensively just a year ago, how can you forget that football is a team sport.

Of course coaches want the offense on the field more than the defense. Not sure how you don't understand that.

i think the point the OP is trying to make is that Chavis wanted Cameron to stop scoring so much/quickly, a problem he is going to have to deal with every single game at A&M with the offense they run

I understand it just fine. Funny you don't see it odd of his request especially when he leaves to join team with high power offense.

He was worried about ball control at LSU, but will be a non issue at A&M?

If he wanted to the defense to rest, maybe he should have stopped Georgia's offense.

Meaningless without knowing WHO said this.. Was it Chavis? Was it Cam? Was it Miles? If none of the three then this is a stupid thread.
