Nothing in the Miles history indicates He will get a "fair shot to compete".

Please expound on this. Who outside of JLee could you make an even vaguely reasonable argument of "didn't get a fair shot"?

Honestly, the lights were too bright vs Auburn. The kid was flustered, and made mental mistakes.

Seems like Jennings has a better grasp on the offense and can manage the game.

Why do people who have NEVER been to a practice or broken down film need to act like they know something?

I realize that Brandon Harris struggled against Auburn, but Jennings is struggling, too. Why doesn't Brandon get a chance to get some experience since it doesn't look like that we will playing for a SEC championship. Take your lumps now knowing that it will be worth it for next year. If he shows no improvement this year, let Jennings back in. So, while we win a game or two this year, the team starts over again next year if Harris beats Jennings out next year.

And Jennings was a mess vs NM ST... So what's your point?

He seems to have the mental makeup and attitude as well. He'll be a very good, if not great, QB for us, I just don't think he's ready to take full control right now.

I worry about when he will be allowed to take control. Let's say Jennings finishes out the year. I guess I just don't trust Les to make it a true competition going into Spring and the following season.

Kind of like Jennings against Miss. St.?

If we're playing for "today" and not concerned with winning a division, conference, or national title in the next few years...stick with Jennings.

If we want to win any championships in the next few years...it's time to get Harris quality experience this season.

Jennings has played nine (?) games which isn't a career but is plenty enough in college to demonstrate his ability. Thus far it appears he's only mastered handing off. Harris seems to have upside. I've been waiting to see it in Jennings but as each quarter passes, I'm losing confidence we'll see much improvement.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying we don't have to endure another Jordan Jefferson fiasco.

As long as Jennings can throw for ~100 yards @ ~50% completion percentage, low turnovers, he is keeping the job for 3 years.

The experience he gains this year will, in Miles' mind, be the deciding factor for the next two years.

Harris will transfer when he see's the light.

I don't understand how people can forget the performance Jennings gave against miss st. And NEW MEXICO STATE. Why did Harris only get one shot against Auburn on the road. I just don't understand the argument for Jennings over Harris. If people think Harris is going to take over next year why not groom him now.

Here's what I would have told Brandon before the Auburn game... something our coaches were probably not smart enough to impart:

Brandon, this is a GAME. A game, son. Just have fun. You have the talent for it. Enjoy yourself. All those NFL dreams can wait.

Instead, what our coaches told him was "OMG. It's 3rd and 7. We don't want you to pass. You can't handle it."

So nothing Harris did vs Auburn was very good. We had a running game plan and dominated on 1st down. We didn't make Harris have to make a whole lot of tough decisions early, which makes some sense, but he never got into this game. He has been known to have accuracy issues, but he just looked like he was anxious and couldn't settle down. We will see more of him.

Would you say the running game was better in the UF game? And Auburn's offense put a lot of points up fast which added more pressure.

I expect to see Harris this week against Kentucky. I say that because it is very possible that we get behind and need to throw some passes.

if we control the game and it stays very close maybe not.
