This is what I love about the Internet. Every once in a while you encounter a totally off-the-wall post like this that is entirely incomprehensible and reinforces your notion that, yes, human beings are a scary bunch!

It comes down to recruiting. Yes, I know we recruit heavily the state of Texas, but the bottom line is we will have many more recruiting battles with Bama in the future than we will with Texas. If a kid out of Texas doesn't piss UT orange, then UT doesn't even give them the time of day (see Russell Shepard).
That being said, Bama winning an undefeated national title would be HUGE for their recruiting. Not to mention it would be hell dealing with cocky Bama fans after they win a title.
ETA- So, Hook 'em Horns

I'd love for him to end up at ND, but I think they'll get Kelly
Kelly has inked ND paper already. Saban sits tight.
However, if Saban wins in a month, no way he's only pulling in $3.9m....go ahead and mark it down. $5,100,001.00 will be his salary...or at least this.
and to answer the threads question, I'm pulling for Bama. Bama winning wont affect LSU recruiting as much as people think. Also, I'm in the minority(maybe) in that I'm still appreciative of what Saban did to put LSU back on the course. I started following LSU in the 80's and went to LSU in the 90's so i'm not spoiled like some who started following LSU in the "bowl and hardware years" in the past decade.
HOWEVER, I do think Saban is a program whore and $ talks and BS walks with him. Had Kelly not been named, and they came calling Saban for $6-7 mil and Bama balked, I wouldnt doubt that Saban would've jumped. Still doesnt change that he's a great coach.

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge. There is no team in college football I hate worse than Bama. None. However, I have no beef with Saban. A job is a job, nothing personal.
I have been stationed in Texas three times. Too hot, even for someone from Louisiana. I dislike (but do not hate) the Big 12. I want the BCS championship to stay in the SEC.
Not bad enough though.
Hook 'em!

Bama
However, I'm praying that the internet dies for a couple of weeks in the southeastern US after they win so that we won't have to see the scarlet letter fill up the first few pages of the SEC Rant day after day after day with pompous, arrogant posts by the Bummear posters.

Good for ND. I like Kelly.
I too am in the minority and appreciate what Saban did while at LSU. And, I began following LSU in the early 90s, so I am not a "bowl and hardware" fan. I still hate Alabama more than anything and pull against them at every opportunity.
