There are stats available for Chavis on 3rd down (I'll let someone else have the honors of looking them up as I'm too tired).

Cop out.

You post one game, where the BSET OFFENSE in LSU HISTORY racked up yards but couldn't score and that proves 3rd and Chavis?

WEAK!

I gave you NINE out of 14 years as top three STATISTICALLY and your answer is the 07 Championship game, which we won on an INT returned for a TD against their offense?

WEAK!

Well that proves it by golly!

The 2007 National Champions that were probably the best 'converting' team in CFB history (i.e. Jacob Hester) converted 50% so throw out the rest of the man's 14 year career as a DC and just call him '3rd and Chavis'.

It's par for the LSU course; we've got a 19 year old we boo and call 'pick six' Lee, we degrade our coaches, players, hell we even denigrate the announcers, this is LSU.

If you aren't the best in the world every day, every game and every season you can geaux to the hot side of Saturn!

Yes you are one of the few. Hope you are right but we have a better chance of winning the Louisiana Lottery

You were the one who introduced the '07 SECCG into the discussion as one of your proofs about how good Chavis was as DC.

And I think you can stand down some with the ad-hominem stuff.

My point was that because Les does not convey an overarching vision of what kind of team he wants to field, we lack identity. Consequently, we have a hodge-podge staff. As one example, even though Pelini and Chavis's approach on D are
quite different, Les hired them both.

In NINE of Chavis 14 years at UT he had a top three defense in the SEC statistically when it came to yards per game.

Fixed it for you

In 97 his defense held opposing offenses to something like 230YPG and was one of the stingiest in the country

I'm pretty sure they allowed 22 points/game in 1997. You think that was one of the "stingiest" defenses in the country? Your idea of stingy defense and mine are worlds apart if you do.

If that bullshite ever happens here, people will be extremely irate with him.

I Agree. Isn't it interesting the Agenda Driven folk, have no problem calling LSU Players & Coaches & basically anyone involved with LSU names? Seems like The Rant has turned very Gumpish lately..

Sandwich/Tap, what record do you expect for Big Les' Tigers in 2010?

I want to see if Miles can deliver a season with only one loss as we claim a national title.
