Got ya. So before 2019, PM had done more than Corbin. I see how this works.

Sure. And now, Corbin has 100% more titles than CPM. And Corbin gave Vandy their first ever title in ncaa Men’s history

I guess every team in the country needs a new coach then. But if we win it all this year then we shoot back ahead of Vandy and Corbin!

I wouldn’t say that’s good. I’d say that’s the minimum standard every year. The problem with LSU under Pawl is we seem to elevate that as a major accomplishment when it’s the expectation.

Corbin has about a 300% greater chance to win than CPM

He usually does. That’s why they have underachieved based off of their talent and expectations.

True. Taking over Vandy baseball with their 0 national titles was way easier than LSU with their 5

Corbin took Vandy from 0 to 2. That’s zero titles in the entirety of all of their men’s programs across all sports

CPM has taken LSU from 5 to 6 in baseball only

Keeping telling yourself CPM is the warrior climbing the tougher mountain

That’s not how that works. The talent that is on these teams now has 0 to do with what either team used to be. The fact remains that Tim Corbin has had more talent than PM on most of his teams so if anyone has underachieved, it’s Vandy.

So Corbin has a magical Sorcerer that gives him the talent?

Coaches are responsible for gettin the talent, and then performing with it. Corbin has won two tiles at a a program that had zero titles in any sport

CPM has one one title at a program that had 5 titles in baseball alone

By the way, I do not claim or feel that PM is our best hope or anything like that. However I do try to look at things objectively and I can see that if PM has underachieved then so has Corbin and a a lot of other coaches.

Corbin took over a baseball program with no titles ever and won two national titles and played for another. Calling him an under achiever makes you look like a complete dumbass

If Corbin is such a great coach then he would have surpassed LSU’s accomplishments under PM a while ago with all the talent he’s had come through their program. Why didn’t he?

Vandy baseball had ZERO Omaha appearances before Tim Corbin

Since Corbin they have two national titles. Yet, there is a human being calling Corbin more underachieving than CPM

LSU fans ladies and gentleman

When has “just making the postseason” been acceptable at LSU in the last 3 decades?

Vandy baseball was a horrific program that never made Omaha before Corbin. Are you drunk?

Nah. I’m using your standard. I think Corbin is a good coach and they have a great program as do other schools. But he’s had more talent than PM so on that alone he has underachieved based off what his teams were expected to do. But that’s college baseball. There’s a lot of parity and a lot of factors that go into having a championship team. If Corbin was here and before 2019 then you would be calling for his firing.

Maybe Mainieri should ask the rest of the bullpen what positions they played in high school to see what other adjustments he can make?

You know, you bring up a good point. How does Manieri manage a program as prolific and as storied as LSU’s has been and not know what position(s) a guy played in high school? Does he do any goddamn research on any of these kids when he recruits them? Or, does he rely solely on what Cain tells him about them?

Just to reiterate how dumb LSU fans are, Vandy baseball only made the ncaa tournament at all 3 times before Corbin

Yet, with his two national titles he is more underachieving than CPM

To reiterate, LSU had more national titles when CPM took over than Vandy had 64 team tournament appearances when Corbin took over

His program was expected to not make the 64 team tournament when he took over

And he has won two titles and turned them into a program that attracts the best talent. Calling that underachieving makes you look like a psychopath
