it's not like we needed our ace to come in and lock them down as many are trying to make it seem.

Let them have their moment in the sun.

I'm just happy to get the win and I don't care who we had to pitch to get it.

no shite, and i planned my entire summer on LSU making it to omaha i know a lot of people are planning on going regardless of whether LSU makes it or not but i just cant convince myself to spend that much money without LSU being there, would rather be fishin. omaha last year was probably the best LSU road trip i have ever been on, and i have been on a lot. just would not be the same without them here.

i wasn't gonna be able to go to the cws because of prior obligations and finances, but i've already set aside time so i can go to the regionals, and now it isn't even an absolute certainty that we'll host. fml. i'm coming to BR for the state series, so hopefully i've picked a series that won't disgust me with the results. fingers crossed

+1

i wouldn't care if ranuado threw the whole game. if it helps get him and the team on track, i'm cool with it.

LSU starts and uses all top tier pitching versus SLU 3rd tier guys and LSU wins with LSU "ace" allowing tying run to plate in 9th with a 4 run lead. Confidence builder for which team?!?

You honestly ask this and claim to be an LSU fan? Seriously? LSU started Ross who is 3-4 on the season with a 5.54 ERA. He was backed up by Bourigeois in the 5th. Then we put in Alsup in the 6th, then Lasuzzo and Betuccini in the 7th followed by AR in the 9th. Do you recall the pitchers in the UNO game. We started Bradshaw, then picthed Burtuccini, Rittner, Ross and LaSuzza. Sounds pretty familiar to me. Don't pretend LSU has any clue who its top tier picthers are at this time.

But as to why AR was in the game seems simple. He got lit up against Florida and then gets hurt in the 3rd and is pulled with a knee injury. Its no suprise at all that Coach would want to see where he is at after the bad outing and the injury to boot.

LSU's pitching is so lost right now we actually started Ott against Florida to try and get a win. LSU has no clue who its best pitchers are and neither do yo ufor that matter. SLU is a great team that just got beat by a team who is struggling mightly. Not sure if this game was a measuring stick for either team.

So let me get this straight. You are a SLU fan that wants to compete with LSU but are mad because LSU used one of thier top pitchers against you?

Typical runt...

i assume you're just flaming for the fun of it. you do realize raunado took a ball off the shin this past weekend and only pitched like 2 innings.

LSU used their best pitchers other than ott. Southeastern used pitchers who have seen hardly any weekend action the entire season

thank you, that was my original point.

your point was wrong.

Anyone arguing how close an individual baseball game is between two college teams clearly doesn't follow the sport much.
