Pretty pathetic, LSU used their best pitchers other than ott. Southeastern used pitchers who have seen hardly any weekend action the entire season

SLU takes LSU in a 3 game series with eeeez!
all u dip shits who try to get personal and call people stupid and idiots and morons etc etc etc are the biggest punks ive ever seen in my life. of all the forums i visit this place is by far full of the most cowards ive ever seen.
The man u calling dumb has 2 college degrees and was a 4 year starting D-1 college pitcher.

Just because it's an in state rivalry and everyone gets butt hurt when there team loses. Look at Auburn and Alabama they are in the same state and hate each other with a passion. Also to respond to your original post in the pregame interview Mainieri said that he was going to pitch a lot of people to re-build confidence on the mound and by watching the game I could see a difference as the game went on.

have you seen our team era? we don't really have anyone who could be called our best pitchers. based on this year's performances, the bottom of our pitching rotation is about the same as the top, and what a better time to instill some confidence in our veteran pitchers than to get all of them a little work in a meaningless mid week game. it's not like we started a weekend starter and left him in 6-7 innings, brought in our best setup guy, and then closed it out with ott. We used a total of 6 pitchers so all could get practice. Southeastern fans are trying to make it out to be that we played this game like a weekend conference, must win, game. Not the case at all.

We used this game as practice for our pitchers. You look at it as us using aces when these pitchers would of thrown today anyways in a bullpen session if we weren't playing you. It was a mere meaningless practice which is the only thing good about playing a team from the Southland.

LSU has 100x the money/facilities/resources that SLU has. bama and auburn are pretty equal. although LSU won tonight i would say i am more impressed with what SLU has done this year. I'm sure it was. When you having a losing season with only 11 wins going into a big instate school and winning, that was a great thing for their program.
Face it, We are a lot of World Series for people. Illinois beat us last year 2 of 3. Celebrated and talked about how overrated we were and the biggest victories of their lives. Didn't even finish in top half of their conference. Never made it to the regional. They still considered this to be the greatest win.
Ole Miss sweeps us. They were ranked in top 25 as were we. They dog piled at the end just like it was a world series game.
Beating the defending national champs or the bigger guys causes this feeling. It's not a bad thing.
If Centenary beat SLU 2 outta 3 at SLU, they would feel the same way. They beat a school way bigger than them.

So LSU fans don't want to see SLU do good besides when they play them? What am I stupid about now? You can walk around any campus and see people wearing different team names. And I'm pretty sure that any team that LSU plays in state is considered a "rivalry"

Most of us are happy slu is winning and we hope you do well in the southland and win a regional game or two. We also do not think you should jump on our board and start insulting us. You came to our house and lost tonight. Go back to your campus and talk about it.
