notice how you whined that everyone was scared of you and big bad sammich's intelligence and now that people are here to debate you whine that you're being ganged up on. Classic!

I like it, its a classic. If you want to make me a new one, go for it

Saban brings Tyson Browning of Georgia in the record books at LSU for dumbest blitz ever. Miles brings Wins.
Who has more National Titles?
You like Avg wins, last 5 years as a college coach:
Miles 51 wins avg 10.2, 1 SEC, 1 NC title
"The Midget" 54 wins, 10.8. 2 SEC and 2 NC.

lets see a bad blitz in a game that we won vs butchering the clock and blowing a game at OM, hum, what one is worse? That's tough

Butch Davis
Bobby Petrino
Tommy Tuberville
Gary Patterson
Chris Petersen
Jack Del Rio
all coaches we probably could have had at some point or could get now that would be better than Les Miles.
None would average 10.2 wins per season. Then agin, you really don't care about winning do you?
Yep, LSU could get Tuberville & pretty much the rest of Sexton Second tier list of Not-Ready-For-Primetime Coaches....especially Petrino who doesn't have a good SEC record.

That's your best move Max, make it about me. I'm just pointing out that you arent answering the question. Doc did and a few others did but you just come in with something everyone knows chapter and verse. If you have nothing new to add go somewhere else. If you have a solution I'd like to hear it.

quote:You could interchange Fulmer, Miles and Richt at Georgia and get the same damn thing. They are all average coaches in good conferences. They might eek out a NC one year out of 10, and occasionally sniff the top of the conference, but consistently will not field teams of above average capability. All of those coaches teams seriously lack the major ingredients necessary for championship teams- intensity, talent, great coaching, and focus.
Take a look at Tennessee from 1995-1999, then look at them from 2000-2008.
Miles, like Fulmer is a good coach, but he;s not a great one.

He fricking won a NC in his third year.
He was luckier than the buck toothed idiot that won the lottery in Arkansas and vowed to buy some toofs for up in his head.
He stunk it up as a coach in 07 too! The bullshite play in the end zone instead of a timeout and a field goal, his need for so many fourth down conversions (why do you think he needed that many???) and numerous other coaching blunders that caught up with him the last two years.
He had a horseshoe up his arse his first three years and now you guys want to knight him Sir Miles, King of Recruiting!!!

Miles 51-15....better

You can't be serious Dallas? If so there's just not any smart guys out there then. I'm sure there are plenty that would give their left nuts to be as lucky as Les.
You still haven't said one thing about a solution. Just crying how he's dumb. I guess he should be working for you cause you're so much smater than him.

I guess they inherited similar situations when they came to lsu. Try to look at it with some intelligence.

Ok Atl, maybe you're right but what's the SOLUTION???
There's only been a couple of intellegent replies to my original question.

Sammich -
Do you honest to God, in your heart & mind think that TODAY Les Miles is a better head football coach, game manager, and developer of talent than Nick Saban?

Saban took over a team that won 7 games the 2 years before he was hired, Miles took over a team 1 year removed from a NC that had a "bad" 9 win year the year before. The recruiting classes signed the 2 years before Miles was hired 2003 and 2004 were ranked in the top 2. The 2 signed the 2 years before Saban 98 and 99 were not even top 10 clases. Dispite taking over a program in better shape, with more talent at his disposal, Miles had 3 more wins in 2 more games. Cling to whatever notions you want, its clear to anyone with a brain who did a better job.
BTW, Saban won 2 SEC titles at LSU in 5 years. Miles 1. 2>1

Come on RT, he doesn't think that and you're helping frick my thread up. He's just getting bogged down with all the Saban love and Miles hate.
I ask a question and all these guys can do is say Saban was better. News flash he's not going to be coaching LSU football. So what do we do? Bring in another guy and talk about how he's not as good as Saban?

EXACTLY. Its like the coaches I named. With LSU's players every one of them would be better than Miles. Hell, add Mike Leach to the list.

and he's won another SEC/national title while at bama
Saban: 3 SEC titles, 2 national titles
Miles: 1 SEC title, 1 national title
what is bigger:
3 or 1?
2 or 1?

Ell, so who do you want? You know whoever it is wont be as good as Saban and I'll have to hear this shite until Saban dies.
What do you think we should do? I'm tired of hearing about who Miles isn't. What gets us better that's all I care about.
