Showed what he could do in garbage time and was rewarded. Already has 8 points in the second quarter in 7 minutes of playing time.

I remember when fans were criticizing Mays, when he was a freshman, similar to their criticism of Thomas.

different criticisms.

I LOVE Mays, but his freshman and sophomore seasons, he couldn't finish at the rim. Great penetrator, just couldn't finish. That improved markedly his last two years.

Our criticism of Cam Thomas is shot selection and poor FG%.

You do realize it's ok to offer legitimate critique of a guy's game, right? These players signed to play major college ball. That comes with high pressure and expectations.

It's ok for fans and media to offer fair criticism.

Skylar improved tremendously at LSU. He went from an out of control liability on offense to one of the better rim finishers in the league.

He's a very, very smart and hard working guy so it makes sense he put in the effort and got the reward. A testament to his character.

Hope he makes millions before going to med school.

Yeah Skylar went from a guy that looked like he wasnt an sec level player to and NBA guy during his 4 yrs at LSU. Cant even name another LSU basketball guy that developed as much as Skylar did while at LSU.

Hard work paying off. Between his appreciation for this chance, his mental horsepower, and the nature of the NBA having to spread the floor with the 3 pt threat, it's a really good fit for Sky. Really happy for him.

Dude was a stud. Reminds me of G. Temple with his hustle and maturity.

Quartermann improved a ton after his freshman season.

I weant back and watch highlights of our recent sec championship team that lost to Michigan state.

That team was incredibly fun to watch

Mays was known for not finishing at the rim and getting charges early in his career. His work ethic made him better and by the time he was a senior he was NBA worthy. Already seen some improvement by Cam and Smart last couple of games. Imagine if Cam stayed 4 year how much he would improve.

Geert Hammink went from being absolutely terrible his freshman season to 1st team All-SEC, top15 in scoring and leading the league in rebounds his senior season. Then was drafted in the 1st round of the NBA draft.

He had by far the biggest improvement from freshman season to senior year at LSU.
