Yeah but JJ knows he has to find someone else. And while that someone may not reside in our pen, now is the time to find the guy. When we get to Supers, I imagine that guy will be throwing into the 7th

7th inning was not the issue. You have a lead in the 8th and you went to Hurd because he’s been showing well in the back end. I’m sure he planned on him taking 8th and 9th.

We don’t have a lot of consistent arms.

Did Skip ever have to deal with this amount of arm injuries?

Why don’t we just let Skenes and Floyd throw 200 pitches a game. frick their arms.

In the tournament, yes, Skip would have left Floyd in. Probably not in a fairly meaningless regular season game.

Against A&M in ‘89, Skip started Ben McDonald on Thursday, again in the first game of a double header on Sunday and he came in relief in the second game of the double header. Skip wasn’t exactly the poster child for responsible pitcher use.

Yes, I am familiar with this story. Today arm injuries are more common even though pitchers don’t get abused like this. If Skip was still coaching the game today, he wouldn’t do stuff like that.

Personally, I would’ve liked to seen Floyd go for one out in the seventh.

Then you people would have bitched about Skip ruining arms.

Can't win with rantards.

Wasn't that mentioned as an "issue" when Pitcher Coach was hired?
