Mett ran a naked bootleg with a 50 point lead from the 40 and almost scored. Miles was Piiiiiissed
LOL. Yes, Mett had some giant ones to do that.
I remember Miles took heat because he basically took several mercy knees to keep from scoring. It was like a slap in the face although he intended it to not embarrass the Reverend Nutt.
"Extreme scoring in the humiliation of Ole Miss is no vice"

Skips appears a little confused. He hadn't been the LSU AD for 3 years when that happened. And no way in hell anyone from Mich called Skip, nor did Alleva
Skip still roams free around LSU athletics. If you ever watch a football game in the suites, you will see Skip going where ever the hell he wants with the same VIP pass that the brass from the Ath. Dept. have. He may not have an official title (or does he still Athletic Director Emeritus?), but Skip is very much still plugged in to everything LSU.

and..............saban mailed it in that cap one bowl. we shoulda had 10 wins that year which really woulda made you miles boys happy n
I call BS. I don't think Saban is capable it mailing in a game, regardless where who was going. He is not that type of person.

Saban was coming off of a 7-5 season at Alabama
They actually went 6-6 in the regular season, with a win in the bowl game. However, that is now officially 2-6 due to having to vacate wins.

Sweet Jesus, you aren't really this ignorant are you? You don't know how saban would have handled Katrina.
No I don't know how saban would have handled Katrina, that's why I said "My GUESS is that saban would have had a breakdown before the month of September was over." Do you know what guess means?
You don't know how he would have handled it either. Everything you stated is your opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
You can't be so ignorant that you're going to take my comments as anything more then my opinion, which I'm as entitled to as you are to yours.
Relax friend, you weren't a fan of Miles, that's cool, he's gone. Hopefully the new coaching staff will be successful.

That day was the beginning of the end for me with Les, that was a putrid showing.
Yet y'all wanted Jimbo? His team was unprepared and flat out stunk against Oregon in the playoffs. Then his team takes the worst loss in program history against a school that can not recruit like FSU.

I think Harris had the pics but lost them in the flood.

You must not have watched that game.

He averaged three losses per year at LSU.
Coming from 4-7 and 3-8 seasons I would say that is remarkable. Let's gloss over that he resurrected the program from ashes. Forget that he stopped the hemorrhaging of Louisiana recruits going elsewhere. Forget that he won SEC titles and BCS Bowl Games in 40% of his seasons he won SEC titles and BCS Bowl games. (see what I did there? - numbers can say anything without context.)
Going 8-4 in his first season was remarkable given the state of the program. What would 2002 have looked like if Mauck hadn't been injured?

Yeah, but only 2 people knew what was being said when the Mich AD was having dinner with Miles in BR, the day before Hoke was announced
Skip wasn't there, and had no way of getting info from that convo. Even Alleva said 'he believes' Miles was offered, but was never told that by Miles or Mich
Skip is just opinionating, just as he is about Miles being 'setup' after the Wisky game

On that we can agree.

Saban lost his quarterback (Mauck), best wide receiver (Clayton), an All-American lineman in Lavalais, Marquise Hill and a few others. He did okay considering all of that. He was a one point loss to an undefeated Auburn team from repeating as SEC West champs. The 2015 recruits. It was a small class. So what. There was a ton of quality players from the three previous classes: Russell, Bowe, Davis, Hester, Whitworth, Kyle Williams, etc.
Gotta be fair. We should have lost to Oregon St. That require a good kicker missing three PAT kicks and overtime. Georgia destroyed us on the road. Florida, Troy, and Ole Miss were all close games.
13 recruits in 2005 and lots of quality. But you know that you need quantity also.

Skip wanted his new baseball field. That's why Saban left. The money was there and skip said nope. Skip didn't want Saban to turn the lsu fanbase from baseball to football. And look, it happened anyway.
Saban and skip never saw eye to eye.

But...but...it's Jimbo! Get's spanked by Oregon, Then by Houston. and then beatdown by Louisville.

But that's cool, Miles is the only one that loses games.

This is the real story, knowing that skip is the reason that Saban left kinda takes a little bit of the luster off of skip.

skip also ran Pat Henry off. Skip wanted to be the big boy on campus
