I didn't say that's what you said.
My point is, Skip has always been outspoken. He's not going to change now.

Interesting. Skip shouldn't have an opinion about LSU athletics, even though he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the university. And a former AD of the university. Yet, he shouldn't have an opinion.
I'll try again...
Skip has EVERY RIGHT to have an opinion about any topic. What he ought to know better than do is to VOICE that opinion in public because of who he was. Like former Presidents, he ought to have the good sense to not shite on his replacement by telling everyone via the press what HE WOULD DO if he was still there.

Good thing we have this message board so all of the people truly worthy of having an opinion can express it.
I'm not the former Athletic Director of Louisiana State University, so my opinion carries no weight. If I was, I'd have the sense not to run around telling people what I would do if I were still sitting in the big chair.
Having said that, I'd like to think Skip never said anything, because I'd think less of him for having such little tact as to step on the toes of Les and Alleva.

Did you forget about that whole statutory rape incident?

While I would agree that you are perfect in every way, I need you to be aware that you are harshing my buzz and interfering with the general awesomeness of my LSU football anticipation.

I've sat at a dinner table twice with Skip Bertman and one thing's for certain, he never stops talking. Nice man but a true talker.
In this case he should have been more discreet with his words.

Either it's his opinion, which he is entitled to and has certainly earned, or it's Miles' way of putting it out there, which I doubt.
My best guess is Skip has had conversations with Miles who has made it clear Hill is gone if his probation is revoked, Skip think's Hill's probation will be revoked based on his conversations with DA Hillar Moore who is a personal friend of the Bertmans, so he has formed an opinion that Hill is gone.
It's not complicated (in my best AT&T TV commercial's voice).

Have no fear, grasshopper. Blue is going to be awesome. When I say "awesome," I mean with an awesomeness that posters on here will be asking "Jeremy, who?" after the first 2 games.

that said, I find that the likelihood of a probation on a misdemeanor being revoked due to committing another misdemeanor would be *low*.
but, i'm just a simple caveman.

Probation revocation is up to the judge. I doubt Hillar Moore is telling Skip he thinks this judge is revoking probation.

I agree the changes of revocation are low in this case.

"Hey, Hillar, ole buddy, whaddya' think the judge is going to do with Jeremy Hill's probation?"
"Gosh, I don't know anything for sure, Skip, but this judge is pretty pissed that Hill went off the reservation. I wouldn't be surprised if the judge revoked Hill's probation."
"Gosh, that's too bad, Hillar. Have I told you recently about my five College World Series championships?"

i kinda like someone's page 1 comment that theorizes Skip is playing some kind of mental warfare with Jeremy in making this comment to the media. that's the most positive spin i could put on this headache of a topic.
