Skip Bertman 1997 LPB interview

August 1997 after LSU's 4th national championship.
I could listen to 90s Skip talk for hours. While I was old enough to follow LSU baseball in the 90s, I was young enough to not be tuned in on Skip's future plans. I found it interesting he was already teasing retirement by the mid-90s. He's asked here in 1997 about his future plans and says he wants to coach through at least 1999. He was only 59 here.

It's really wild, just last night I was listening to a podcast with Skip, Barbier, Furniss, and Chris Demouy from a few years ago. Then I wake up this morning to the news Skip had passed away

Skip will always be my favorite LSU Coach. Love you Skip.
