Do you think he'll get 1000 yards?

I don't think he will. But I do think he will be a good short yardage/goal line type of back for the Patriots. I enjoyed watching him play at LSU. He was one of our few brightspots on offense last season. I'm hoping he will be successful in the NFL.

Why are you so anti Ridley?

He lost a bet regarding where he would be drafted.

We all know it is preseason, but I would rather see Ridley score 3 tds, than do shitty or not even get a carry. It is safe to say he exceeded everyone's expectations with his 1st NFL playing time. And that is worth starting a thread on TD.

No doubt, but Skip Bayless encouraging everyone here to expect a 1,000 yard season based off of last night is silly.

Why couldn't Skip have been more like his badass brother Rick?

Anybody here remember Vaugh Dunbar first preseason game for the Saints? Vaughn scored two or three touchdowns and we all thought he was going to have a great 1000 season for the Saints.

Vaughh did not rush for 1000 yards that season. It is preseaon football " A mirage" as quoted by the late great Buddy Delaberto...

4.65 YPC is bad now?, especially against SEC defenses loading the box.

Realist my arse, you do realize that Marcus lattimore, you know the guy everybody loves, had the same exact amount of carries for only 40 yards more?

Hester, another fan favorite averaged 4.8 over his career at LSU.

just admit that you're wrong, people might regain some spec of respect for you. unless you like arguing about the same issue over and over again. also known as trolling.

Maybe just maybe the Pats drafted two RB's this year looking for BJG's replacement. Bill wants a bonified bigger back that is capable of being on the field every play and he may have found his guy.

And let's not act like a rookie RB can't get a thousand yards, it's not impossible.

Sorry people but ridley will have to make his mark on special teams and maybe get some carries in some games due to injuries. That's the reality of the situation.

While I love any compliments for our boy Ridley, Skip Bayless is a stupid frick that doesn't deserve to be on television in any capacity ever.

Ridley won't get enough touches to get 1000 yards. He's a bruiser, a grinder. He'll be a great goal line punch and a grinder to close out games.. I think that's about it. I think he could be a weapon in the screen game too.. he has good vision.

really it seems that way because i once said i didnt think he was our best RB last year. He has some fanboys that blew up at that notion and there has been no looking back since. Seems worse than it is. I dont hate him. I am just a realist.

But you were way off on your draft projection of him. He obviously has more talent than you care to admit. Drafted by one of the best organizations in football in a valuable round.

I thought he was a 5th-6th rounder and if we had a passing attack last year he would have been pretty damn good.
