Skenes Starting Dates

I need someone more intelligent and currently less inebriated to help me figure this out.(On Vacation don't judge) I'm scheduled to be in Pittsburgh June 17-19th for work and the Pirates have a home series. What are the chances Skenes starts any of these games if any, and what game would be my best chance to see him start?

I think projected starters for a particular game might be known a week or ten days prior but subject to change for various reasons. I'm hoping to catch him against the Braves in Atlanta at the end of the month.

No he won't, scheduled to pit h tomorrow then going by every 5 days you would be looking at him starting June 16 and again the 21st

Looks like he may pitching 6/17. Not posted yet. Go to ESPN app. Click on scores. Find Pirates, click on that game then click on the Pirates logo towards top. Should give you schedule. It will show pitching matchups for next week or so. To early to confirm those dates, but it should update in next few days for those dates

So he’ll probably pitch 6/5 (that’s scheduled), 6/11 and that 6/17 game is your best bet.

Unless they go to a 6 man rotation the week ending the 16th, he's scheduled to pitch that Sunday June 16. Outside chance it would be that Monday the 17th.
Tell them to let you leave early Friday or Saturday to enjoy the weekend.

that’s how it has been working because they are on a 6 pitcher rotation
they have 3 rookie starters and don’t want to put too many innings on them.

all of these are the same
number of days apart.
29-23= 6
23-17 = 6
17-11 =6
May 29- June 5 is actually 7 days
june 5 to June 11 once again 6 days
16-11=5
at this pace he will pitch the 17.

Off days between starts looking at those dates on MLB com you can clearly see he has started every 5 game.
Here is what it looks like, so if he continues the way they've gone then the above poster is right on the dates. Especially since they off an off date coming up meaning Skenes will start on the 11th after that date.

between May 10 and May 19th eh played 10 straight games with no off days.

the rotation and then 6 days after his last start Perez starts start the rotation over.
They have said they are doing 6 days rest.
They have added a 6th starter to accommodate that when the rest days didn’t work out.
Skenes was pitching every 6 days in the minors.
But again, they have outright said they are doing a 6 man rotation to maintain 6 day rest periods
if that keeps up now that perez is hurt who knows.
