with the recruiting class and the talent we have returning give everyone else one more year. If we don't, at the very least, win the west next year then its time to make changes. if you hit the panic button now you risk losing the #1 recruiting class in the country

When LSU doesn't win the West next year the excuses will be the same as always -- LSU is too young, its the coordinator's fault, the quarterback is inexperienced, next year will be the year, etc... The fact that LSU has already lined up a great recruiting class actually makes this a good year to replace Miles. If ever there were a year when LSU could absorb losing some recruits who are more tied to playing for Miles than playing for LSU, this is it.

Someone posted on here a day or 2 ago that boosters have already said they could foot the bill.

That was from a Hanigriff comment, which he did not say as such. He said that IF the administration wanted to make a change, he thought that boosters would pay the bill. That's different from the implication that boosters have decided a change is wanted and they're go to finance and have so declared.

In the last 3 seasons not including this year Miles is 15-9 in the SEC. Also LSU is 2-4 in their last 6 bowl games.

And then what, worry about that next year's recruiting class? You don't hijack a program for a few lost recruits. Lost recruits happen every time a team changes a coach, or maybe keeps a coach with a warm seat. I don't buy that one, single bit.

ummm....no. but we could win out, win the Sugar Bowl, and you'd probably still want him fired.

Wow, I can't believe you folks are willing to give Steele another year.

Remember what most people were saying after the Steele hire?
The Steele hire will be the beginning of the end for the Les Miles era and his downfall.

Les Miles lives off of running the ball, great defense, and great special teams. 2 out of 3 have been shot.
If Steele is retained for the 2016 season, Les Miles is 100% done.

I am inclined to agree at this point.
Cameron is not getting fired, this is year 3 of a 3 year deal. He is not back. I don't see anyway he comes back.

Steele is in year 1 of a 2 year deal, but this defense is playing worse than 2013. Maybe I am spoiled from watching great defenses in the last 15 years, but I am not ready to lower the standards because Steele "doesn't have the right players".

Les' quote: "to enjoy the rest of the season." What the hell does that mean. He and his assistants already had a 2 week vacation prior to the bama game.

miles will be back next year, is it possible that he replaces both OC and DC?

Cameron's contract is up, I don't think the Board of Supervisors will give him a new one for more than one year even if Miles wants to keep him.

Steele isn't getting fired unless the entire staff goes out with Miles.

I wouldn't be surprised if BDP is back.

The front seven on defense does not have that much talent. Not KS's fault. When Cameron had Mett, J Hill, OBJ and Landry offense was not a problem. Other than LF, the other guys are not as good as previous years. This is a talent issue on both sides of the football.

Great, so we just need a QB who is good enough to start in the NFL, a RB who has had some pretty good numbers in the NFL, and 2 receivers who are tearing up the NFL, in order to have a good offense.

Kevin Steele shouldn't have been hired to begin with. If he got the axe, I wouldn't shed a tear.

Not ready to give Steele the ax yet. The man deserves time to do what he wants to do.

I seriously doubt any changes will be made. Les doesn't see a problem.

Maybe Alleva has grown some balls and told him lose and your out.

Thankfully, Mallory and Peveto weren't granted that courtesy. I'm not sure why we should reverse that precedent at this point. If we fire Steele early, we could actually have a chance at hiring a great candidate since we won't be fricked by our previous dickhead coach.

If you look and the dwindling talent on the line and linebackers you will realize. Majority of the dline in the NFL from LSU were recruited before chavis got here. Same with the linebackers. He has one lb he recruited and coached in the NFL from LSU rt now. Kwon Alexander. that is shite.

I in no way am faulting Steele. Chavis D isnt doing that much better at tamu, and we still get to face them. The talent on D is just not up to standards rt now.

I am not buying that. The talent on defense is just fine. If you want to show me a chart of 2008 vs 2013 vs 2015 with the player crootin rankings, then maybe ill entertain your point. but there is no excuse for LSU to accept a defense ranked in the 40s just because its the coordinators first year.

looks like I may have been onto something.

So who is LSU's coordinators next year?
