Since the Florida game last year. LSU is 13-6. And 10-6 if you throw out the wins against UAB, Kent St, and Furman. Not exactly a record expected of a program that is expecting to compete for championships.

If that record said 43-8 with a win over Bama in the NCG or last year, I think you would hear a lot less bitching.

This is so fricking stupid. You can "throw out" wins like that for every major program.

I remember when Saban lost to UAB, and the fan base wanted to run him out of town. Weird.

I'm saying you're a bad fan because you're an incessant whiner. Yes, our rival is unfortunately going on one of the great historical runs we'll ever see, with probably the greatest college coach in history...but we're still one of the top programs/brands in college football. If that's too hard for you to root for, then don't bother.

Why did you choose 2010? Wanted to leave out those 9 losses the two seasons prior?

I am sick of hearing about how great his record is and how we are so lucky to have the incredible fortune of having such a football savant for a coach.

Lets break this down in simple terms. The cupcake rent a win stat padding wins, we have 3-4 of those a year. Then you have the SEC roadkill stat padding teams, 5-6 teams depending on the year. Then you have the difficult SEC teams, 3-4 teams depending on the year.

His record is inflated by the rent a wins and SEC road kill teams (8 gimme wins every year). Against the teams that will keep it close we are in trouble when it comes to game / timeout / clock management if the game comes down to the wire. Then there is the issue of penalties.

Everyone likes to look at this from the macro level because that paints a pretty picture. On the micro level you see that when the games get close against good competition, we don't fare so well.

In this special time of LSU football I would like to see us maximize our potential and standing while we have great talent. This is measured in SEC West Crowns, SEC Championships and National Championships. That is the bottom line.

But we do better than most. Sometimes teams lose to good competition. I've even seen Bama lose games they shouldn't have to good competition.
