I blame the coaches, pass balls and way too many stupid mental mistakes with this team that can not afford any. That last bat by Hal was the worse effort at a bunt that I've seen in a long time but then again we're only in the 4th inning.

You are taught how to bunt from the first time you play baseball. The technique does not change over the years. You never dip your bat like Beau did twice that last effort. That is taught from day one. So how is that a coaching issue over a player execution issue?

No reason a guy like Beau, who has been hitting it to the fence (and over) lately, should be bunting with a runner on 2nd.

There is no excuse for not being fundamentally sound. Hitting comes and goes but bunting, moving runners over and sacrifices should be something all good teams should do.
