Maybe you should find a new team to cheer for. I hear the West Virginia squad has a great play calling staff and run a very exciting offense. You'd fit in great with them.

It's crazy how WRONG some LSU fans are about the specifics of LSU play calling. Like when they act like the play calling (formations and specific play selection) has been the same under all Miles coordinators. Which is terribly wrong.
And the same plays have been called over and over lately? We had a new bread and butter play (the quick pitch back) from last year through the Auburn game this year, and we barely used it against Auburn. (I am not even sure we used it at all?) The bubble screen has also been rarely used the last couple of weeks, another staple of the LSU offense before the Auburn game of this year.
So, tell me what plays are we using over and over again? Hell, on the fly the LSU coaches even changed formation use during this past weeks game just like the announcers thought they should, when they started leaving two backs for protection on just about every obvious passing down.

I've watched all the games and counted at least 50 different plays.
Most people think we have 3 plays.

Alabama and LSU run the same offense. But everyone else has all these different plays in their playbook and a bunch of losses.
I'll take the wins.

why don't you name a team that you like the playcalling of and then sign off and follow that team.
are you complaining of the play calling of the past 7 years/

Exactly, name a team that you think has better play calling than LSU.
Compare records the last few years.
Apparently winning isn't good enough for some of you.

You have to remember that Les Miles is a disciple of Bo Schembechler who was a disciple of Woody Hayes who was a disciple of Giglamesh.
And we all know Giglamesh ran the Wing T in the Judeau Football League circa bible days.

So everyone complained all week about how the team doesn't pass enough, and they demanded that Miles work on passing vs Towson.
Well, they did just that and got a bunch of 3 and outs due to lack of execution. Now you are once again complaining about play calling.
Well way to create a lose-lose situation.

quote:Did you watch football last season? All those "creative" play callers got beat by the "small" playbook. You take creative, I'll take the wins.
I really can't believe they pay these coaches so much and they have a play book so small. I watch these other teams and they have really creative play calling and also a lot of different plays.

We DID lose that Game. Where have you been?

I don't know if it's play calling, poor execution, poor technique, or we just don't have the players to execute, but after being at the top of college football for over a decade, anyone ever notice our O.C. are never in discussion for other coaching opportunities.
While that could be a good thing, In this case it means they’re not a hot commodity. Take it for what you want.

hat sort of plays would you like to see called?
Some Playaction would be a good start. Also, some passing routes that cover the middle of the field isntead of the same old tired curl routes, short out routes, and WR screens. How about a deep post or WR in route?
