re: SIAP, but what incentive is there to be a TAF member anymore if you're not a $100K donor?

And let’s be frank, someone making $250-300k isn’t giving 10% of that to LSU.

lol…of course they would if a fan.

For one main reason:

The tax write off.

I’d do it if I lived closer.

Don't get me wrong, we give more than 10% of our income too, not only for tax reasons, but it's not all going to TAF. And I am a huge fan. We, like many others, also have church, local charitable organizations, some mission campaigns, etc we give money to as well. I wish I could afford to give the 100k to TAF but I don't see that ever being a reality unless I strike it rich.

Laughable. You think someone making $250k is dropping 10% on TAF. Just not happening. House, cars, retirement savings, kids’ schools, life. They aren’t dropping 2k/month on TAF. And for the average Joe on a salary, “tax write-offs” aren’t what they used to be since doubling the standard deduction.

Now over a 5 year period, that might be doable for someone making 250k, but that’s still quite the commitment. Typical people don’t donate thousands to sports for nothing in return, so there is some expectation to get more “value” if you donate $5k instead of $100. As others have said, tickets are plentiful and the required donation to get the same number of points just went up 7.5x…so overall, donors are getting less personal value for their dollar.

Money is being inflated away to nothing thanks to the fiat script of the blood-sucking central banks. We are all debt slaves.

Looking like 250 is where it's at.

If I gave TAF, a small $400,000, could I get laid at the 50 yard line with a golden girl ?

Depends, during a game or after hours?

Thanks, for the explanation.

So if you pledge the 100K, give 20K first year they probably are budgeting 20K a year. But if you don't like the direction the team is going in, you hold off the 20K a year or 2. If enough donors do that, it could put a liquidity squeeze on the AD potentially. I guess that is how the donor's still have some influence.
