and build a new state of the ARCH basketball arena?? right now LSU basketball is a joke. people go to the games to fricking STUDY. building a brand new facility would attract real TALENT and it would be good for BR because we could then attract the LHSAA state championships away from lafayette as well as concerts, etc.

THATs the thing. you get a new arena...hire an up and coming competent coach like JOHNNY JONES and the talent WILL follow. you don't think alleva knows what it takes to run a good basketball program???

LSU is NOT a basketball school, so why blow up the PMAC and build a new arena so we can continue to have a place for 5,000 fans to hang out??? Instead, invest in the top sports venues of football and baseball. LSU is a football school first then a baseball school. LSU basketball is DEAD. Geaux Tigers!!!

No, but it should be re-named, we shhouldn't have Pete's name associated with what's going on in there now.

I think they should paint the PMAC pink until the men's team is better than the women's team. Don't tear it down. It is THE monument to the great Pistol Pete. It WILL once again be the home of great basketball. We just need the right man to lead us to the promised land.

They should have renovated the Cox building instead of building the spaceship.

LSU basketball is on the way back up. #! center in the country coming in next year, Johnny O'Bryant, 6'11" 250, 7' 260 center from Iowa State, and another year for Turner, Stringer, Warren, and Dotson to mature. Trent knows what he's doing, we'll be competing in the West within the next 2 years.

We should just build all completely new facilities for all sports.

Wipe the slate clean.

We have the cash, the economy is booming.

We might, but you added 2 inches to O'Bryant and 1 inch to Hamilton. Do you really think Hamilton is going to be a factor? Last year White was the transfer savior. The year before it was Green redshirting. Dotson is a lost cause. Turner has skill, Derenbecker will be alright by 2013. Stringer has a long way to go as does Ludwig. Jalen Courtney hustles at least. Individually they just aren't that good relative to other players.
