there are other issues pertaining to fairness beyond game outcome effects.
1. should the same fanbases have to suffer the inconvenience and expense of long travel?
2. should only one community derive the financial windfall?
Until you find a more central city with a suitable stadium, yes.

The objective when determining the SECCG site is doing what is best for the SEC, not being fair to LSU and Arkansas.

Oxford MS will always be a neutral site and pretty central... Run that by Mr. Slive...

I say Birmingham. Some say it's to cold, BS. Play it on Saturday afternoon and chances are it will be in the low 60's or upper 50's. Plus it's outside. Plus, if the SECCG came to Legio Field, the city would more than likely reconstruct the upperdeck. With the UD in place, Legion holds 10,000 more fans than either dome. And, Football should always be played outside. Just my .02.

Legion Field is in a horrible part of the city of Birmingham. It's great if you want your car broken into. The nearest school in the SEC to Alabama is MSU. I bet that ya'll didn't know that. I bet that ya'll don't realize that if you move the SECCG from Atlanta, the SEC would never have a say in the matter of when the game is to be played ever again. The ACC is waiting in the wings big time for the SEC to make an idiodic decision and move its championship game. Every city that hosted the ACC championship game has been a big bust. Be careful for what you wish for because it might happen and the SECCG as you know it now will be no more. Once the ACC gets its foot in Atlanta, it would never move.

More money is made by playing the game in Atlanta than it is in Birmingham. Next!

It would be fair to have it rotated between 2 or 3 places but xiv is correct, the economic impact in ATL makes it one of the best places to hold it.

AHSAA doesn't even hold the high school football championships at Legion anymore. The Birmingham mayor is pushing hard for a dome now. Got a site picked out (next door to the SEC office), plans made, and a good chunk of change allocated in the budget to build it.

Course this is the same man who thinks the 2020 Olympics are going to be in Birmingham.

At the risk of going off on a tangent, there is really no reason for the baseball tournament to stay in UA's backyard of Hoover every year. Unlike for football, weather is not an issue; and there are a number of minor league ball parks comaparable to the one in Hoover spread across the SEC states.

Yes. The B12 rotates their game & it seems to work very well.

Since I live in ATL I hope it stays here as I get to see LSU play everytime they are in it. Chick-fil-a bowl was nice this year as well.

Gwinnett just built a new stadium for the Braves triple A team so that'd be a nice place for the baseball game. But I go to Hoover almost every year and I'm OK with that location as well. It's always a great weekend for the family.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Nothing the Big12 does works as well as it does in the SEC.

Why ruin a good thing? If the SEC is doing wrong by having games at Hoover for baseball and Atlanta for football, why is it the richest conference in America with the most attended games in either sport? Those of you advocating to move it probably never attended a SECCG in Atlanta. If you did then you probably wouldn't even think of moving the game.

I like Atlanta and all, but wouldn't it be a lot more fair if the game alternated years between the Superdome and the Georgia Dome?

I really don't have a problem with the location...I do however, have a problem with the way that all post season tickets are distributed...if the team from the west literally got half of the tickets, then I would not have a problem with it staying in atlanta...
