I'll bet you cried in frustration when Rohan relived JB in the Peach Bowl.

With the exception of the Cotton Bowl, we won largely in spite of JJ. Get a grip.

I think he will. My thought is that whoever wins this job, will need to do it in the Spring and I also think it will be open-competition.

I think that's true every spring for every poistion and on every team.

The position will be JJ's to lose just as its the starting R guard position to lose.

Senior 2 year starters can lose their job, but its gonna have to be a clear cut victory won by working your way up the depth chart and not by throwing the ball up for grabs and saying 1st to the ball starts cause there is something to be said for having been there and done it in a game as oopposed to never being there and never doing it. imo

lsu xman,

How about 11-2 in spite of JJ for much of the year? You are probably one of the rantards who would take JJ over MF also. Why is it that whenever someone wants to take a shot at a former LSU QB it tends to be Matt Flynn?

Stat also leaves out his 10 Int and 9 games with 0 tds....hes just not the qb we can rely on and put the game on his back.

He's human so it's only natural if he's disappointed. At the same time, if he's honest with himself, he knows that he drastically under-achieved for his team last season. As for as the comparison to Matt Flynn, that's not fair to JJ either. Flynn was just a far better collegiate QB than JJ has ever shown to be.

JJ over MF
A bit of a reach.
JJ's not as terrible as some would argue though. I remember reading he's made LSU Top 10 all time QB TDs according to LSUS.net. As a Jr., I might add.

I haven't seen a worse qb in the last 2 years in the nation. hope Les lets the new OC run the offense!

Another reach, especially regarding '09.
LSU was also near the bottom in attempts in 2010. This tends to place a team low in pass offense stats, BCS champ Auburn being the exception.

3TD passes to TT in the Cotton and the hate is still strong...
so that gets him an automatic pass for 2 years of below average QB play?

Yeah that doesnt make up for his season....take away those 3 tds and he had 4 Tds all year and 10 Int...

Also A&M's weakest trait was their pass defense...tolliver had the advantage on them

I'm going to give Jefferson the benefit of the doubt because he had a pretty bad offensive coordinator/QB coach the past 2 years of his below average performance. I think he will do fine his senior season

Yeah give him the benefit of the doubt for bad OC but we have won a NC with crowton...even with the worst OC..you get a good qb and he can throw 1 td in 9 games
