LSU won in spite of him not because of him.

I find it odd he regressed from 2009 and don't think he lost talent. There was possibly some change we weren't privy to. GC is famous for pounding square pegs into round holes.

my opinion on JJ is..yeah he was suppose to be a great qb for us but his maturity level and personality was killed when at 18 he saw what happend to Jlee and the pick 6 debacle and how fans almost tore him apart...I think since then it has scarred him for good and he cant get around it.....Which is why he is so timid and afraid to open up and make a mistake. Which is why everyone once in a while he will have a good guy because he does have talent.....I just dont think he can get past this and its time to move on

Which is also why he plays well in practice but come game time..his head is just not there.

How any lsu fan with two eyes that work could sit around and defend jj after watching him play the past two and a half years is mind boggling.

One more year and we don't have to have this discussion any more is the most pos thing about him that I see.

Quite possible play selection has much to do with this. I've noticed very few middle stick/crossing routes (risky)even though it seems what most DCs are giving LSU.
Was it chicken or egg, idk as JJ had his share of INTs this year.

Most his career though if you look at passes that were suppose to be easy for example the WR screen....he was even inaccurate on quick pass like that...it was always to high or to low...that should be one of the easiest passes u can make....

Jarrett Lee also had trouble making easy screen passes, and like you said its one of the easiest passes a QB can make. Why did BOTH our QBs have trouble with such an easy pass?

Tiger fans are calling for solid quarterback play which JJ has not delivered week in and week out. If he plays like he did against A&M every week, no one will be calling for anyone else to play quarterback. Problem is, he has never done it. Don't forget the Miles love for JJ, the new guy will have to be hands down better to overtake the Miles factor.

The QB thread after the Spring Game might set a record. We need something to give "As the Plains Burned" a run for its money.

3TD passes to TT in the Cotton and the hate is still strong

Did the thread say "carried them to a cotton bowl victory"?

Miles' love for JJ? Miles personally recruited Mettenberger for the sole purpose of replacing JJ. It's an open competition and Mett will win it.

Well, JJ/JL QB'ed his LSU team to 11-2 and #8 ranked in the nation. I know some would rather talk up the 2 L's as opposed to the 11 W's, but the LSU/JJ/JL/Miles record in the past season was pretty dang good.

You think Miles shouldn't respect the effort for some reason?

That's your "Miles factor" for you.

Some LSU fans have always had this love affair with the guy who climbed the depth chart to be the 2 string guy, but now it seems the love affair has switched to the guy who never played a down or completed a pass or lead the team to a 1st down in practice.

Perhaps we can label that the "irrational fan factor".

I'm glad LM showed more loyalty to LSU than what some want him to show to 2 guys busting their arse for 2 years while QBing the team to two NR seasons and a current Top 8 standing.

Patrick Peterson, Drake Nevis, Kelvin Sheppard, Stevan Ridley, Terrence Tolliver, Tyrann Matheiu, Morris Claiborne, and the entire OL contributed more to that 11-2 record than JJ/JL and resent being left out of your recognition.

Ok I hate saying this out loud but how many games should we have lost.....be real as much as us lsu fans dont want to admit it...we got lucky with only 2 losses....

Just 2 more off the top of my head but UNC/LSU....Peterson saved us and we got the W...Tennesee...well they saved us

Every other game but 1 or 2 our defense won the games for us and kept us in every single one of them.

UNC - we had that game in the bad and then put in too many true and red freshmen... it nearly cost us a game that we otherwise would have won comfortably, but paid enormous dividends later in the year.

Tennessee - they didn't save us, we flat out steamrolled them the entire game. But being something like -3 in the turnover department has a way of making games closer than they should be.

FTW, the only games that we SHOULD have lost, we did lose.
