Would you rather start with?

39 scholarship players (we know there were more but only 39 dressed out for the bowl game), some being the best at their position in school history, and some being first round draft picks?

Or 60 mediocre players?

BK should bring him in as analyst to pick his brain like Saban did with other fmr head coaches.

IMO he’s not anything we need at this time. Also not someone to build any part of our program around.

I don’t think there’s any scenario that looks good to me.

My how times have changed. There were some actually believed he was a better coach choice for LSU. I would think it would be difficult for him to want a job in a minor role. He likely could get a head coach job at a sunbelt or minor conference. I’m sure most realize there mistakes now but there were many who thought he was the man.

worst case, they're about the same. So Billy was in no worse position than Kelly, IMO.
