Shifting back to Alex Box...

There is plenty to complain about with baseball these days, but why must we sell out Alex Box to this degree? I look at Dudy Noble, Swayze, Hawkins - none come close to the amount of commercial advertising Alex Box has. I am not calling for them to all be removed, but can we at least clean things up a bit? Remove the ones on the backstop, thin some of them out on the fence?

They literally added onto the scoreboard a few years back so they could add 8 more spaces for sponsors. It’s comical

Do you really want the chicken tendy basket to cost $24

Literally never gone somewhere because they're on Alex Box's wall.

I don’t mind the outfield walls.... it’s kind of a relic of the past .... but the scoreboard is atrocious.

This is Louisiana. No way anyone around here would remove sponsors in order to make the stadium look better

Are you trying to tell me you didn't find out about McDonalds, Powerade, and Coca-Cola from going to the Box and Tiger Stadium? I'm not sure I believe you

Those light poles are prime territory for some more ads. Think how many you can stack top to bottom.

What about Palmetto Cheese? If it wasn't for the Box wall I wouldn't know what that crap is. Never bought it though.

You're missing the ugliest piece of all: The Planet Fitness board.
There are ways to do ads well.

“Any of you folks having trouble finding a good proctologist? Might want to come down here and check out the area around the 375 foot sign.”

Agreed. In terms of building and maintaining a strong brand for baseball, nothing is more important than your uniforms and stadium. These things matter, and there should be nothing but purple, gold (and green) throughout. The interlocking LSU baseball logo should be branded everywhere. On the backstop, on the side of the football indoor facility facing the stadium, on the fence, etc. There should be no reds, blues, etc. No distracting and cheesy corporate slogans, like "platter up!" Anyway, this is my rant and it has been for some time. Not against corporate advertising, but it needs to be done in a cohesive way to not fight your brand.

Also move the national championship flags back to behind center field like they were at the Old Box and for the first season at the New Box in 2009.

# 1 chairback the entire thing down right and left field lines even if it takes away a few seats from capacity
#2 get rid of the outfield bleachers behind LF and RF and build a berm area in both places and you could even add the bullpens out there as well
#3 get a permanent batter's eye, that alone would improve the aesthetics
#4 the area behind home plate and along the outfield stands, add a brick facade to make it look nicer
#5 replace the intimidator billboard with something more permanent or nice looking
Some things the box does well - the concession stands and bathrooms were well done with plenty of space
The hall of fame was a nice touch
The outside of the stadium is also welcoming and highlights the program's accomplishments
I don't have a big problem with the outfield signage but maybe tone it down a little and remove it from behind home plate which would be a brick facade instead

The University of LSU goes wretched excess overboard on the static permanent ads in Alex Box and now Tiger Stadium. (COX logo on the PMAC Court is a public eyesore as well)
How about just one big digital video board with scrolling advertising during the game.
Get all those tacky and gross permanent ads the hell out of our athletic venues........

I'm actually a little disappointed our foul poles are still bare.

I think the ad placement after every strikeout on the radio broadcast is the most obnoxious thing LSU does right now.
