In the actual newspaper, it said "With LSU coach Les Miles in attendance, Shepard said during his acceptance of the award: "We are going to do some great things next season. Go Tigers!"

I dont know about next year, it depends on how fast he can learn the system, and how developed of a passer he is, but in two more years if he can develop like a VY, LSU wont be beat

Haha will do. I'll see him next Wednesday. I coached a youth football team this season; in August Shep and a few Ridge teammates came to our practice and talked to the kids about how important school is, and motivate them in their athletic career.
Wednesday he'll be a guest speaker at our banquit.

Dont know the exact stats, but Shepard had something like 520 total yards (311 rushing, 209 passing) and 6 touchdowns in the 3rd round of the Texas State Playoffs.
His team is a 5-A school, and this was in the playoffs....
