From the call in show last night:

Orgeron also mentioned that Tyler Shelvin, who was ineligible to play this year as a true freshman, is down to a “slim” 355 pounds,

How much weight has he lost? Down from what?

Hopefully he can get down to around 340. We can run the Jumbo package and put him next to big Ed at 339 with Fehko and Lawrence on the ends at 300.

That would be beastly!

Didn't impress me his senior year. I hope he has a change of attitude and steps it up.

He'll definitely have to realize he can't get by just on his size alone. Hopefully the conditioning program gets him where he needs to be and the coaches can get the best out of him. For the most part our DL when healthy have lived up to expectations.

His job will be to eat blocks. With his size he just needs to put forth a little bit of effort to be disruptive

I remember back in the day when Gilbert Brown played for the Packers I thought he was huge, and now that’s the norm for lineman.

Agree with CP3...not very good senior year but was hurt...however, he was very impressive at the all-star game last year. Just couldn't stay on the field long because of his weight.

If he's a Vince Wilfork type, I welcome it!
