boy is it ever!!

AJ voluntarily plays QB at a powerhouse football school. With that comes high expectations. He gets the glory if he performs well, and he gets shite on if he performs poorly. Comes with the job.

There are plenty of D-II schools where he could play QB if he didn't want to deal with that.

Why? Because today's LSU fans want to boo, leave early, and argue their right to do so.

Absolutely. And those who disapprove of their boorish behavior have the right to call them trashy.

Yay freedom.

So the people booing (aka complaining) are complaining that other people are complaining about them booing. Ok.

And we have a winner!

Everyone needs to quit being so sensitive over words and what people say.

Agreed. But if they're not going to stop booing for the right reason, then at least stop for selfish reasons. Contrary to what some have said, it does bother current players and it could affect potential recruits. If you were a player considering several schools, all were big time programs with clear and proven paths to the NFL (let's say LSU, A&M, Alabama, Georgia and USC) and one of those fan bases mercilessly booed ONE OF THEIR OWN PLAYERS, would it not give you pause about attending that school?

Why unnecessarily alienate a quality recruit?

And before you use the, "I was booing the coach" excuse; trust me, even if true, the players and recruits don't know you are booing a coach. To them it sure looks and sounds like booing a player.

I agree with his message.

They are booing a fellow student. It's really dumb.

it's sad

Jennings, by all accounts, is a great kid and works hard. He represents LSU the right way.

He has struggled, sure. But he in NO WAY deserves to be booed.

This isn't a Jordan Jefferson situation where he was a dope who said and did the wrong things off the field

I took the boos as being directed at Miles and not at Jennings. Am I wrong in thinking this?

I think booing an LSU player is bad and shouldn't be done

and I think booing Jennings is worse than booing Jefferson

Q. Going back to the criticism that quarterbacks may receive, have you talked to Jennings about the crowd's reaction in Saturday's game?

COACH MILES: I've described people that have no say in the game really are trying to get into the game with their reaction. I told him that he need not concern himself with that. In fact, there is a likelihood that many of the people that made that protest did not play a lot of football and did not know what he was going through and frankly gave little thought to their momentary, negative reaction.

Miles just said in an artful way.
