Sounds like a result of the South LA heat.

yep, Clifton Garrett

That's why character/work ethic and a coaches judgement of attitude should necessarily be included in evaluation (and thus offers). It does matter.

There was a lot riding on Garrett working out, LB was thin and Chavis wasn't making it thicker. At least with Stewart it was a risk worth taking and was acknowledged going in.

He's an extremely overrated coach, and I would love to see O replace him with a better option in both coaching and recruiting (getting players that actually stay), but not sure LSU can get someone until after this season.

It's a damn shame too, because he's wasted some significant potential and talent that has bolted.

I agree with this. We have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. It's a s shame that we might be hamstrung by a crappy offensive line. Five O-linemen leaving the program in six months - no team can afford that and be successful. Some of that has to be on Grimes's head. Grimes continues to bring in guys like Stewart who probably shouldn't have been offered a scholarship in the first place - guys who are a result of "settling".

Again, so they offered this guy a scholarship and accepted his commitment and welcomed him in with open arms. They clearly felt like he could play, otherwise why waste the time?

Maybe the staff fully believed he was going to play. I'm not sure

What is grimes recruiting a bunch of babies. Dang LSU is getting O-Linemen in the NFl. If you can just wait a year or two you will get your chance. Starting to worry about grimes evaluating talent since most of his recruits are leaving by the boatload.
