It’s like LSU wants to sell as many tickets as possible but not have anyone in the stadium.

Totally agree. shite show so far. However, you can’t say anything bad about Woodward around here.

Just don’t go. It’s not worth dealing with the cowards running the Athletics department.

Until last year, I spent my whole career in ticketing and live entertainment (18 years). I’ve been trying to think of how it is possible for LSU’s ticket office to be so far behind in announcing a ticketing plan and distributing them accordingly. In my experience cutting it this close is unheard of. Trying to think about it form the perspective of the LSU side I can think of three things that might be holding up the show.
1. They didn’t plan properly and their incompetence has backed them into a hole. I have no knowledge of how the LSU ticket runs internally or what processes they use. All I know is that some teams staff and operations are better than others. I would like to think scenario is not the case, but I have to throw it out there as a possibility.
2. A more likely scenario is that they are a having some kind of roadblock with the software and moving to an all mobile platform. It very well could be that LSU is ready and has been ready to execute their plan. They may have run into a blocker with assigning seats, or the app that is preventing them from letting fans log in and take action until it is fixed. They could be sitting there waiting for a fix from some developer to move forward.
3. Politics- Because it’s South Louisiana and everyone has their hand in everything related to LSU and especially football, it could be that LSU’s ticket office has been ready to pull the trigger for some time and has had a million changes given to them from higher powers, to continually change or update the allocations to this group and that group. It’s probably a nightmare for them to only have 25% of the seats available to use for “everyone who needs to be taken care of”, as well as the season ticket holders and students. It’s not a puzzle I would want to be in charge of putting together.
Again, I have no first hand knowledge of the situation in Baton Rouge. I’m just trying to think of it from the side of LSU’s ticket office.

Piss people off? Wait till it’s announced that you only opted out on ticket costs. Tradition fund costs? Not so much . THAT’s gonna piss a lot of people off..

Seems like even with the paper tickets in the past I never got them till the last minute, disappointed in Scott that this is done so poorly

(He's paid over $1M to figure this shite out.)

I’m in the same boat with only wanting 4 of my normal 10. I want the choice of knowing where they’d be before committing. Don’t think we’ll have enough time for that now.

Got our email. Went from the North endzone to the south. Pretty much the same seats, just different endzone.

Paper tickets always arrived 2 weeks or less before the home opener.
