I know you want credit but it doesn't matter who we lose to be La Tech, WVU, or Bama it is always our coaches/players fault when we lose and never the other team ;)

Quote...Hell yes!! You were higher ranked, playing at home, at night, in the heat, it was too humid, our guys didn't get a good night's sleep, the catering crew poisoned our food, that smell of bourbon gave our guys a contact high....it goes on and on.

ok skipM, you are understandably new to this board. if ya'll win, there will be excuses all right.........#1)miles is a dumbass; he played the wrong players #2)Crowton should have been fired long ago; he is the worst playcaller in the history of the ncaa #3)JJ is not a college level QB; he can't read defenses and he doesn't know when or who to throw the ball to.

Now, there are ALL the excuses you will hear and you will hear them a million times. this board isn't "normal"; meltdowns occur after every game, win or lose. the above three excuses are used every week and thousands of times during the week. true dat.

Yes, the excuse will be that our offense sucks.

if you win, good for you....bad for us. if we win, good for us....bad for you. the real question is, if we win....are you man enough to accept it?

have a nice day.

I'll sum it up like this. Geno is a cerebral quarterback. He doesn't like to take chances with the ball, and would rather throw it away and punt than give up the int. His accurracy is excellent. He goes through his reads extremely well. He'll give a shot or two downfield, but he likes to be methodical and move the chains.

would have been a lot easier to just say that he's the exact opposite of JJ

WVU definitely has a chance b/c the LSU offense is so bland.

Sure you get props for winning if it happens. However you won't get a lot of credit for beating LSU when looking back at the end of the season. If LSU loses to WVU they will also lose 3 or 4 more games (b/c there are 3 or 4 much better teams on the remaining schedule).

I just read the entire thread, lots of good stuff in here, some BS in here as well.

If LSU loses, I'm certain there won't be much debate about West Virginia. At this point we're 3-0, and there is more crap thrown at our team/coaches than you'd probably see on a team with a 1-2 record. There are many "nega-tigers" just waiting to pounce on the first LSU loss to pound their chest with a "I told you so." No offense to the Mountaineers, but any LSU loss will be followed with much in-fighting, and not much venom to the opponent.

As for Les Miles' 25-1 record on Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium. It is real, and it's not a fluke. In the older days many of our better opponents were tv games during the afternoon. But the last 4-5 years, many of our best opponents were prime time CBS, ABC, or ESPN games.

As for the Mountaineers, the LSU fan base is very aware that this game could go either way. Before the season nobody counted this game as an automatic "W". Being fans, the closer we get to kickoff we all think that our Tigers will win, but all summer long this game has been talked about on internet and radio shows as a toss-up. Our fans would be suicidal with a loss to Vandy or Miss State, but we'd just be in depression with a loss to WVU.

Probably not. Btw, try some of the other parts of the site. The More Sports Board has a lot better threads, and the OT is fricking crazy.

IF.... IF WVU wins tomorrow night, will there be any excuses? I'm serious. Hey, I could absolutely understand if the great LSU overlooks the lowly WVU. Especially with Tennessee coming up! I just hate when we beat the crap out of teams, and then coincidentally they have some convenient excuse after the game. So, if there is one, why not man-up before the game and let it out? If we win, do we get any credit, or will it because of some excuse?

Don't be confused with each fan bases reaction.

If WVU wins, their fans will be ecstatic, while the LSU fans will be pissed.

The WVU fans will want to talk about how great their teams, and the LSU fans will want to talk about why they lost and how the team could change in order to win in the future.

It's funny how when a team wins, they so want the fans of the team they beat to give them credit. It just won't happen. LSU fans will be focused on LSU, not WVU.

So, saying you think you have more speed than the opponent is 'talking crap'.

Truth is, WV cannot win. That is not an option. The 2 options are:
1) LSU wins
2) LSU gives the game away due to
a) Poor clock management
b) Lousy play calls
c) Turnovers
e) etc, etc, etc

Wasn't that the same GA team that whipped the arse off of LSU in the SEC title game?

Yes, but that was when WVU was actually worth a damn with White and Slaton running RichRod's spread.
