Hey, there are ALWAYS excuses. You just gotta get creative with them sometimes.
Joking aside, I don't take your team lightly, especially on offense. You're the best team we've played so far and your offense should give us a real test. I'll be glad to congratulate you if you come into TS on a Saturday night and come out with a W.
I'm a 110% LSU fan, but if I have a second favorite team, it's WVU. I have WVU friends, I watch a lot of your games, and I respect the way you build good teams without the glamorous 5-stars that bigger schools grab.
23-21 Tigers, that's my call. It'll be an awesome game I'm sure.

I'm screwed. Win or lose, I'll probably become some closet LSU fan after hanging out on the rant. You guys are too much fun!
J/K guys

I'll sum it up like this. Geno is a cerebral quarterback.

No offense to Geno, but I think he's kinda injury-prone

probably no excuses. we'll blame our coaches, QB, the O-line, or a running back if he has multiple fumbles. we won't say that we should have won.

We're too busy eating our own to care about you. But I don't see a whole lot of "lowly WVU" talk around here, do you? There's some making fun of your schedule and, well, West Virginia as a state, but y'all are a top 25 team. Try to act like it.
Fake humility from a top 25 team is irritating as hell. Act like an equal and maybe we'll think about treating you like one.

At this point I would say WVU ranks as the 4th most difficult opponent of the year behind Bama, Florida, and Arkansas.
I don't take them lightly but it would be an epic meltdown if we lose to an OOC opponent at night in Tiger Stadium.

seriously, there is no way you are going to win, therefore no excuse needs to be discussed. Do you really think ya'll have a chance to come to this stadium and beat an sec perenial power house team such as the mighty LSU Tigers. The most fun you will have is seeing tailgating like it is supposed to be done. This will be the highlight of your trip. Have fun
Ok, for all of you that keep preaching about the "great" SEC and the lowly Big East, here are a couple of stats for you:
1. WVU has played an SEC team in each of the past five seasons and has compiled a 4-1 record.
2. LSU is 1-3 all-time against members of the Big East.
3. WVU has a winning record all-time against current members of the Southeastern Conference.

It also says that LSU is 25-1 in night games in Tiger Stadium....the loss was to No. 1 FL last year. That worries me a little...
Anyway, I am looking forward to a great game!

People that know college football on this board, know that it wouldn't be that big of a upset. And depending on how we would lose (if the impossible happened), it would not be that bad of a loss. For example if would be far worse to lose to MSU, Vandy, or even UT.I think this will be a great game between two evenly matched teams. So here's to clean well played game and hope noone gets hurt.

A. That record is under Miles
B. It should worry you a lot more.
C. An extra hour or two to tailgate...you'll have trouble breathing with the smell of bourbon in the air. The fans will be well lubricated and extremely loud.

I don't disagree with your comment - but I have seen quite a bit of Big East bashing this week. Making fun of the people and state I understand (its low hanging fruit)....but you know as well as I do that Louisiana's finest are just as bad as anything WV can produce.
Here is to WVU kicking some Tiger arse tomorrow!!!

I guarantee you that we've played more than 26 night games at TS.
Don't know how they arrived at that stat.

Who are the SEC teams that WV is 3-1 against?

UGA in the Sugar Bowl is one of the wins.

Hell yes!! You were higher ranked, playing at home, at night, in the heat, it was too humid, our guys didn't get a good night's sleep, the catering crew poisoned our food, that smell of bourbon gave our guys a contact high....it goes on and on.
Posted on 9/24/10 at 9:09 am to WVUFan92
Well, the Big East does suck right now. But conferences don't play, teams do. WVU can trot out beating Mississippi State all it wants, but that has precisely zero bearing on this game.
And if you've never been to Saturday Night at Tiger Stadium... you are in for a treat. Nothing can prepare you for it. Though WVU is a pretty crazy environment in its own right.

Under Les Miles and the loss to UT in his first home game was on Monday night.
