I was impressed with that dudes heart. Down 24 with 2 minutes to go with a chance to put points on the board, ball is snapped over his head and he ran down Stevens from behind to prevent the score.

Let's start the pump of the other team to make ourselves feel better.

Kids transfer to FCS all the time to get immediate playing time and the hope of a scholarship to P5 schools, but you're shocked when one is good and on the same talent level as those schools?

That kid may be playing at a P5 next year.

He played his heart out. Him chasing down Jacoby Stevens on the fumble even though they are down 24 points in the fourth quarter with less than 5 minutes left was pretty amazing. I'll be excited to hear about what his future holds.

And caught the eye of some recruiting scout somewhere.

Primetime, ESPN2, LSU.

He made the most of his chance for exposure. Don't think he didn't know that.

Selu actually had some guys that really stuck out to me. 91 on defense beat us all damn night. A lot of their skill guys on offense played their hearts out as well.

And I agree with you on the qb tracking down stevens for the tackle. They were down 24 in the waining minutes of that game when that happened. Caught a 5 star db recruit who was trying to prove himself worthy, so you know jacoby wanted that td bad. I think there are not many qbs period that would have done that.

That was Nunez, who is actually the backup QB/slot WR for us. He transferred down after USCe switched him to WR from QB, and he started at QB for us last year. Virgil is the starter for us, but Scelfo has used Nunez at QB as more of a read option guy occasionally.

Him chasing down Stevens was likely the play of the game for me as an SLU fan.
