Just not the pussy that everyone seems to be these days, granted, it was a while back, but I got my car back, in retrospect I guess I really lost that one

Someone brought up 18/21 year old age...

I'm not 100% on this anymore, but I THINK the law is that an 18 yr old can not BUY the gun, but can own/possess it.

His dad is a cop, he could buy his son the handgun and give it as a gift.

My son is now over 21 and I don't have things at hand to confirm completely without being sure, but I really thought that was the case.

As to the "why the guns?" part- that is a personal choice that a law-abiding US citizen has the right to make. Guns can be used for sport, but they clearly have the intent to be a defensive weapon.
As it is currently presented, this particular gun was used in the exact manner it was designed to be used for. To defend oneself while being threatened with force from a hostile individual.

The BB gun excuse doesn't work; you raise an apparent weapon at someone, that person has a split second to determine if his life is at risk, and respond appropriately. It was armed robbery, and would have been so with a rubber prop, if that prop was believed by the victim to be a true threat. In addition to being criminal, it was extremely stupid on the part of the deceased to do so, because he brought on a life-death situation with no means of winning it himself.

It happens all the time. That's why we have Texas LawShield here to protect concealed carry owners in cases whereby they had to discharge their weapon.

Defending yourself, whether it’s with a gun, a knife, a bat, a fricking stuffed animal, doesn’t make one a pussy.

But carrying a gun to go sell a trinket in a seedy area sure seems shady to me, if you need to pack heat for something like that, probably more to the story

A lot of people carry 24/7. Because they can. Because this is America.

You’re assuming he carried just because he was going to sell a PlayStation.

I don’t carry a gun in my truck to the gas station expecting to get into a shootout. I carry it with me in the hope I never have to use it. In the instance that I stop for gas and someone attempts to carjack me, then I’ll have to use whatever means necessary to defend myself.

Carrying a weapon for self defense is a Normal thing in this country. You’re acting as if he carried for the sole purpose of this transaction, when it’s much more likely that he always has a weapon in his vehicle.

It is their right. It is called the 2nd Amendment. Just because some of you morons decide that the 2nd Amendment and a gun isn't what you think you need doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't exercise our right to carry.

I always have a weapon when I travel and I have only needed to threaten to use it in my self defense 1 time in Shreveport. I was just getting gas late at night and was approached by a thug with a knife. Luckily I had my 38. I may not be here had I not had it with me. These 2 young men may have been seriously injured or killed had THEY not had a weapon with them. I have news for you, the criminal will have a weapon.

I hope you never are in a position where you actually need a weapon and don't have it because of some liberal
belief you may have because at that time YOU will realize the importance of
the 2nd Amendment. Good luck.

Louisiana has no registration scheme whatsoever.

(That's a good thing.)

Did you really think this through? I don’t think being an athlete is a reason to not have the ability to protect yourself with a gun from possible death.

I have been in several “positions” where I’ve needed weaponry to get me in and out of the ‘hood” so to speak, weapons of choice were a 20mm cannon and a few things hung on the racks under my vehicle, felt completely justified, liberal? not hardly, you twerps are delusional idiots if you think this is normal day to day college “student athlete “ activity

You’re the dipshit posting gay selfies on Instagram during your trek across some third world shite hole to show how irrational people are about their disdain for many of the people there, only to end up murdered by a group of locals.

No he doesn't. Must be 21 for a concealed carry permit in Louisiana.

Legal age to purchase a handgun in Louisiana is 18. Not 21.

You posted about how brave you were on your venture into Scotlandville to get your vehicle. All alone! And not even armed!
