quote:I mean we had the following going into last season:
Wait till Jan. It’ll be the deepest staff ever according to every fan here.
Cooper more coming off a good year at Kansas and pitching very well in the fall/spring.
Casan Evans coming off being the third best pitcher on a national title team.
Cooper Williams coming off a great freshman year.
Rizy coming off a great run in the Cape.
Sheerin back. Guidry back. Lachenmayer and Garcia coming in.
Schmidt improving.
Paz/Ricken both making it to campus.
Saying LSU had a deep staff coming into the season was maybe the fairest statement a fan could make.

The pitch calling was scared last year. Defense will help with aggressive pitching calling. You will see more aggressive attitude by our pitchers.

With Milam back we don’t need pitching
60-0 is on the table

So many options that at least one of these guys should improve and possibly become elite as a starter. Just one hitting would be huge. Hopefully at least 2 will.
Maybe they still add another starter as well, but I don't know who all is out there.

Not done in the portal. Evans will be fine. Curious to see how Schmidt progresses with another full offseason. Both are too talented.

We no doubt can’t count on any of the 3 returners becoming dominant. Huge need for someone to push for #1 starter.
