I would be okay with the steal in most situations, but when you have momentum against a pitcher like Stratton and you are trying to run his pitch count up you want him to earn his outs.

Yeah it is. I never mind a steal attempt with 2 outs. Of course this is situational, and in that situation was an ok call.
