its actually a stupid article. Their uniforms have not allowed them recruit especially well,. Their rankings are as follows:
02- 49
03- 26
04- 12
05- 28
06- 49
07- 11
08- 19
09- 32
10- 13
11- 9
So they're not really attracting alot of top flight. Thus we can say people's "attention" to them ave little to nothing to do with their success.
If you look at the makeup of the pac 10, you would have alot better idea of why they re successful. Last year, they played ONE TEAM that ended up in the top 25. Stanford. Their success has more to do with the rest of the pac 10 (outside USC) not doing didley squat than the "attention" they've attracted.

i would guess most recruits don't give a rats arse about tradition. Hard to get a grip on all the traditions when you are 18 years old. A few may grow up die hard OSU, LSU, USC, ND fans but I doubt many.

this. their cheerleaders are hotter, but oregon girls overall don't have anything on louisiana girls. i spent two weeks up there and was very unimpressed.
Don;t know where u where hanging out but LA and Oregon are not much different on the good looking women front.

Oh the stereostypes are flowing tonight. You are the one lacking brain cells if you feel that way about southern folk. I can guarantee you that southern women are waaaay more beautiful than Pac NW women.
Ok I'll take your word on it.

UO is nothing but a gimmick. Their offense the uniforms etc. Nothing but Boise on steroids. Their Unis are as or more obnoxious than the Blue turf.

You mean like throwing a blind over the shoulder fake field goal?

Stir it, stir it and stir it.....
That blue turf is the most horrible looking turf I've ever seen.
Just curious.... what makes it bad arse? I'm really asking.

F*** the blue turf. It's awful. I'm talking about Oregon's uniforms being bad arse

Oh ok. Read it wrong.
Meh.... I personally think Oregon should pick just a couple uniforms and leave it at that. It's football, not a fashion show.
But that's JMO.

Tradition is for people who have to get a yearly colonoscopy.
The SEC has always been good and is rich in recruiting, but what has "tradition" done for UMiami, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Washington the last 8-10 years?
It's the 21st century. New age. Oregon is fresh. Oregon is Nike U. And that's why we're here.

That does not define our program. Their no huddle playstation offense and crazy uniforms are what define their program. Just like Boise had to put in the crazy turf to make a name UO had to wear "those wacky uniforms" to stand out. They couldnt stand out on the field regularly so they had to pull out a gimmick to get some attention. I look forward to putting this gimmick team that represents a gimmick program back on the west coast.

Also Chip Kelly is one helluva coach.

They players are involved in the designing of them so they get changed up every 3 years. With Nike in our back yard and all the different sports companies out there trying to one up each other, I don't see that happening anytime soon

Best uniforms in the country according to ESPN poll of college football players.
LINK
Oh, and we also have the most marketed team in the country. Helps when the University of Oregon has a partnership with Disney, the parent company of ESPN. Every thing, from our mascot to our uniforms to our players to our fans, gets marketed by ESPN.
not to mention the Duck is the freshest mascot in the country. No mascot can dance and break it down like the Duck. That duck can jerk.

I didn't see you on the 2 deep roster explain yourself.

Depends on your personal taste. Gotta be honest, I prefer girls of the NW more. More athletic, less high maintenance, down to earth and natural beauty without tons of make up. To each his own though.

Oh good one....I havent heard that one before. Forgive me for taking ownership of a school that I have a degree from (and earning another) and the team that represents said institution.
