Flying out Friday morning.
Still haven't booked a hotel.
What's the more favorable area? Buckhead or downtown? Looking for some decent places to eat and good bars to hang out with fellow LSU fans. Not into clubs or anything that would resemble Fred's.

Buckhead is a bit more posh and hotels will be more expensive. They have a lot of bars and clubs where you'll find more of the younger crowd after dark. There are some good areas downtown i.e. near little five points. An area about 15/20 mins from the stadium that is cheaper but still as nice with plenty to do is Smyrna (look near the new braves stadium)
