I haven't heard about any major issues with Hoover, and didn't notice any when I went there. Most people wanting to move it either want it closer to BR, move it for the sake of something new, or just to get it out of Alabama. Nothing about the event itself.

I haven't thought of Biloxi. Was that one of the options? They have a pretty sweet minor league park there and the casinos would be sweet while the Tigers have their BYE.

I've been to Hoover for the SECT 10 of the last 15 years. They put on a great show. It's a nice clean town with plenty of good restaurants and accommodations. Traffic flows well. Parking isn't a mess and it's free. I've never heard coaches or players complain. I'm happy to see it stay.

When will everyone realize that the SEC is only worried about money. It was time for Hoover to up their bid. They had no intention of moving this tourney. It's all about the money. That's why the vote was unanimous.

What are the seventy million dollars of improvements around the Met? They need to do something to open up the concourse...and chairbacks would be nice instead of bench backs...and brick the outside...

Any of you read the current news? There's been a shite storm of problems in Memphis. Beal Street particularly. Needs to stay in Hoover.

Ok. Where is the SEC tournaments for basketball and the SECCG for football? Stupid post. Really stupid.

All your saying is Bama has been successful recently.

Great news. Well deserved for Hoover. The city does a tremendous job with the tournament although it lacks some of the entertainment opportunities the other cities have available (Quarter, Beale St., The District). Hoover willing to invest $77 million into the facility and surrounding area, parking is abundant and free, they do a good job with traffic, hotels are reasonable and it's a beautiful and safe setting. Attendance over 150,000 this year, which would likely drop off if moved. SEC headquarters nearby didn't hurt, but the athletic directors made the decision.

Was Nashville in the running? Rumor had it that they put in a bid, brand new park and all...

Oh, well, I was hopeful, but congrats Hoover!
