Not numbered or anything but the first one listed is LSU's Michael Divinity.
quote:

MICHAEL DIVINITY, LB, LSU

Dave Aranda is paid handsomely as LSU's defensive coordinator to ensure the Tigers never have a production drop-off defensively despite early NFL departures annually, some more impactful than others. So it comes as no surprise the biggest dilemma on his offseason agenda was figuring out how his unit would absorb the loss of Top 10 pick Devin White as quarterback of the defense. He's counting on Divinity to be his new alpha as a versatile pass rusher, pushing him from outside linebacker to the inside spot to give him more flexibility. Paired with K'Lavon Chaisson in nickel packages, Divinity gives the Tigers another athletic option to get after the passer and help in run support.

Weird to post a thread calling out an LSU player and think it's a positive.

ETA: No surprise LSU baseball is bad since Tiger Ree cursed them with his threads. That was my fear in February.

Not my article genius.

Not my article genius and I never said or even insinuated whether it was positive or not. That is your personal paranoia at work.

Replacing Devin White is one of the least worries I have for this team. More important items are:

1. Can Burrow improve his completion percentage? It was made pretty clear that the drops weren’t high enough to truly wreck this
2. Can the Oline compete against high caliber defenses.
3. Will the running game improve from last year
4. Can Aranda do a good enough job to where the lack of competence on the offensive side of the coaching staff will not be relied on too often?

Obviously. That's how you got Ron Higgins fired.

Divinity is a Miles recruit so Ree doesn’t care much about him.

Second year quarterbacks almost always have better numbers in their second year starting. This should be especially true for Burrow considering he only arrived last June and had only Jefferson to work with over the summer.

Last year's OL had 4 new starters. That's an extraordinary challenge, but they did improve down the stretch. Another year in the system, Ingram's potential to rejoin the team, and the outside chance that one of the freshman can contribute all point to better play this year.

C'mon

C'mon, this defense is going to be very, very good.

It just seems odd. Michael Divinity needs to step up. Has he not stepped up in the past? I thought he's been a pretty good player. Linebacker is the least of our concerns.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious explanations as why most of those areas were lacking last year

We were ranked like 125th in the NCAA in returning offensive production and this board was caught flat footed that the offense struggled.

Were they doing bad in February or were they ranked #1 in the country?

Maybe they are doing bad because I quit posting about them.

It’s a dumb misinformed article. Divinity does not need to “step up”. Also at no point will divinity line up with Chaisson in nickel packages. Not in the way they are referring to. Chaisson would be a down lineman in nickel or stand up end basically in nickel. Oh and down vote for Ree lol

Not to mention:
"Joined Zach Mettenberger (10-3 in 2012) as the only first-time starters in school history to win at least 10 games in his first season. Also the first player in LSU history to throw for 2,500 yards and rush for 350 yards or more in a season … Set or tied eight school records in 2018"

And Zach at least started at the JUCO he went to. Jeaux came in with very little actual game action in the past three years

Coach Eaux had said the Badara Traore was the most improved player during spring. Hopefully his injury isn't serious. He played in every game last season.

I think it was the Coaches Caravan last night where Eaux said he expects Kardell AND Bradford to "help out" this coming season. Bradford was LSU's #1 prospect on the Oline for last year's class. Not a knock on Kardell because I know he will be very good but quite a compliment from the coaches for Anthony.
