Yes because everybody hates the SEC because they are the best.

I don't know if they should or not, but with all the prior contracts with ESPN, CBS, and JP/Lincoln Financial/Raycom it would be difficult.

You'd be watching games like Auburn-Tennessee Martin after all the major networks picked their games. Although, the first game showed by the Big 10 Network was Michigan-Appy St, so maybe you could see some history.

I'd watch it.
Especially if they ran replays of great SEC football games during the offseason.

ALL of the network contracts come up for renewal in spring 2009. There is a lot of buzz that there will be an SEC network.

I think that even if the SEC network didn't carry the top 3-4 football games of the day live, there would be a lot of people watching the replays throughout the week, particularly if it were in HD.

I think basketball and some other sports could use more coverage too. These wouldn't get the same numbers as football, but it would be better than watching the same sports from the ACC, B10, or B12.

Eventually, the SEC network could benefit tremendously if there is addition/attrition in the SEC.

Those contracts run out after this season, which is why they're discussing the possibility of a SEC network now.

The SEC should if they learn from the mistakes of the Big 10 and even the Mountain West. Like above, the Big 10 is in Austin but not in most of Ohio. Likwise, the Mt. West network is not offered in Utah.

i would love it.

but i thought i read something recently saying that Florida's new tv contract would lessen the likelihood for a SEC channel. i'm too lazy to try to find this.

gators are bound to mess up most of the beautiful thigns in this world.

I watch the Big Ten network just to get a football fix this time of year. They do have some great replays.

I heard someone on the radio today talking about how the Big 10 Network was not doing well due to the high prices and problems with cable companies getting it added to service packages.

That means we'd have seen ULM whip Bama.... I'd buy that for a dollar!

Seriously though, we NEED an SEC channel but we need it to be done right.
