Tremendous fight from the girls on beam.
Would have been very easy to follow that bar disaster with another disaster. It shows there is mental toughness there and they can fight.
Finish this meet strong and don't quit.
Still bummed about Sami. I've never quite seen a coach try to will a gymnast to be more than what she is, but Jay has some unshakable trust in her; I just don't get it.

Yeah but there are a lot of other gymnasts with the same issues but go 9.90 consistently.

Jay needs to learn that you have athletes that are great in practice but struggle or are very different when the lights turn on in live competition.
Others, you see kids thrive and perform better in competitions than they do in practice. At some point you have to be able to see recognize these things... Practice is great but competitions have to count for something.

I’m still aggravated at him for not nominating Christina for the AAI award this year. She was head and shoulders better than Sami this year.

FANTASTIC floor from Desiderio.

RIGHT. I was about to post that. I only have two words: CHRISTINA DESIDERIO.

Christina came to compete.

Girls fighting back. Would love for them to beat Auburn for 3rd.
…and Bama to frick to somewhere.

Though I am disappointed, I am proud of the girls for pushing forward through the meet (though some might say they have no pressure anymore…so maybe that’s why, lol)

We aren't just fighting against Auburn, also the other teams from the first session.

Yes but I don’t think any of them scored above a 197?

They need to give Aleah another pass, that last one is just not going to work. Constantly under rotates it.
I can't recall a meet where she truly hit that pass

Bama with three 9.95s on bars.

Yeah she's so worried about going out of bounds that she always under-rotates.
But we all know how stubborn Jay is...

These floor scores are disappointing considering this is the time of the meet when things get crazy. Usually. I’m not able to watch, are they all just having minor landing issues that the judges can’t ignore?
Posted on 3/19/22 at 8:21 pm to Tigerbait357
Florida went 49.7 on Beam. Good night.

Landing deductions mainly.

Any one know why Haleigh’s score was so low? (I mean for her) the scores are flying for everyone else but us

I think it had to be the last pass and I didn’t have a good angle on it. She didn’t look too excited.
Also, teams need a 196.9 to finish top 4
