Ehh, I think Mullen is a better coach than Smart. Like the guy said, Smart took a pretty loaded UGA team and got them to a title, but Mullen made freaking Mississippi St relevant. UGA had back to back 10 win seasons before Smart even got the job. Now I'm not saying what he did last year wasn't impressive, but one season doesn't put him over Mullen who had consistently improved with Miss St in the West, and didn't have anywhere near the talent of other schools like UGA.
If LSU had gotten Mullen after 2016 like I wanted, we would have been 11-1 last year, and been picked as a playoff contender this year.

I would loved to have had Mullen last year as well. However, IMO, if a guy gets to a national championship game, I think you have to give him the nod. I think both are gonna do good things so we are really splitting hairs at this point.

I’m not saying LSU will lose because they have way more talent...but Morris pulling off the upset wouldn’t surprise me.
