Outside of LSU and Alabama, it sure seems the SEC is pretty weak this year. Arkansas looks somewhat shaky and the rest are just average teams at best. It is going to be interesting to see how we will do in the bowl games but I am not seeing a banner year overall.....outside of LSU winning another Championship for the league!

Do you really think South Carolina should be in this group. They continue to win ugly and with Lattimore out, they are an awful Offensive Team.

Arkansas has looked bad at times but keeps winning as well.

Comparing prior years, we seem to have two great teams and the rest.

Yea I hate when that happens. And since we all have to play each other all the time how could this ever be expected to happen. People just say its a down year because Florida is down this year and Auburns rebuilding. Both teams are still decent tho. Tenn seems to be going the right direction ... Give it a few years and SEC will be heavy again.

I was discussing this with a friend last night. It's just that all the LSU/Bama hype has the rest of the SEC getting overlooked. That and the fact that they are all beating up on each other while having to deal with playing #1 or #2 or both (tennessee)

You take Georgia, SC, Auburn, and Arkansas and match them up with either Oklahoma school, Boise or Stanford and I think the play a tight game.

Let's be honest, South Carolina isn't a top 10 team having lost their best QB and RB. They're beating bad teams right now but they'll be out pretty quickly. Arkansas is living on the edge. Vandy outplayed them and literally fumbled the game away from their own 3. I do think the SEC is down outside of the two obvious teams.

Outside of Alabama and LSU, I think this is the weakest I've ever seen the SEC. There are a group of average teams and a group of absolutely horrific teams.

Its not a "down year." The sec has two teams that are a cut above the rest of the nation in my opinion. There is usually a team or two competing for the top spot and some other very good teams. I'd put Arkansas up against almost anybody else in the nation. Uga is playing good ball now (I wish they'd have gotten Boise later in the season). Auburn, Florida, sc aren't terrible.

It's the same as every other year. The rest just seems down bc nobody gives anybody else outside of bama and LSU a chance to win the conference. It's bc LSU and bama are THAT good..

College football seems to be down this year. All the teams look average except LSU and Bama .

The SEC is EXTREMELY top heavy this year. The Arkansas and S. Carolina argument is void. Those teams shouldn't be in the top 10. I think we all know that.

Totally disagree. The aggregate level of quality of any - ANY - SEC team is far superior to the elite of any conference. Its like the NFL, even bad teams are good because NFL players are the elite of the elite of the elite.

Same thing in the SEC, these are THE BEST players in CFB. We're just having a power shift, our strength is just fine

Those are the only two teams that have played each other in that list. You're the dumbass that named those teams specifically.

I'm not arguing anything other than you were wrong on that specific point. That said, I believe the SEC is still the strongest conference, by far. If you put those out of conference teams you listed in the SEC, it's very likely their record has a lot less wins than they do in their current conferences.

I agree.. You have the SEC, then everybody else.. Hell, even Vandy seems to be steppin up. Georgia has looked pretty good since Boise, and S.C. gettin it done with out Lattimore or Garcia is a credit to that program..
