Damn I didn't realize Dugas' power numbers were that good in conference.
I was out on him/wanted to see other people in left early in the season, because he seemed to be very all or nothing at the plate.
Very happy to be wrong there

Tanner Allen is like a full decade older than Tre and they had almost the same number of hits.

I believe it was Lester who said a month or so ago that Dugas was nothing more than a rotational/platoon-type player on a good LSU team.

Once again a reminder winning matters. We even 3-4 games over .500 we get 3 guys mentioned more highly

Yeah MLB and college baseball are full of left handed second basemen. Hope you were joking?

If we had put Tre at 2B from the beginning like we should have, he would be a 1st teamer

I’m not even a Dugas guy. But shite, he has 2x as many HR in conference.
Dugas awas 2nd in the SEC in RBIs, overall and in SEC play (1 shy of the league lead in both). He was first in the SEC in HRs in conference play and 4th overall. He was 3rd in SLG in conference games, and 8th overall. He should have at least been given recongition on the 2nd team or their "DH/UT" slot
Dugas played out of his mind this season

Some legitimately thought that we should have moved a LH to 3B, SS, or 2B when the musical chairs were taking place. I still see some mention it. I'm making fun of those people.

I have a lot of the summer assignments I've found listed in the recruiting thread on the other board. But since the discussion has shifted to Dugas, he's listed on a Florida Collegiate Summer League team right now. That's not something normally done for guys expecting to leave for the draft.
Not saying he's definitely coming back next season, but he seems to be at least planning for the possibility.

You could build a good case for Dugas over Crews if you look at SEC stats

Don Mattingly played a 3 game series against the Mariners at 3rd base one time.

Tre’ could play any position on the infield at a high level. Free your mind from baseball dogma.

Cool.
It really is.
I suspect very much that the people suggesting Tre play 2nd or 3rd have zero knowledge of that though.

Most certainly did. It’s a huge pet peeve of mine - great athletes will find a way even if it looks unorthodox

Tanner Allen is the player CPM asked canizaro not to mess with when he helped him get the Miss St job

But was that on the left coast?
