Then he realized his QB is Bo “fricking” Nix.

I laugh at both of these clowns, if Denver didn’t have an elite D they would be in trouble.

So much made of the OC being striped of play calling, but you can only call so many 1-2 yard down field passes before the other team says, well this is easy

Don’t think Payton has any other options when his Year 3 QB

- Doesn’t understand the game and what he’s looking at when he walks to the line
- Is one of the most inaccurate QBs in the league and that’s true even throwing disproportionate % of short passes
- Has no downfield ball to speak of and won’t even look that way his confidence is that cooked
- Has deteriorating pocket mechanics with an internal clock that has become completely fricked that only gets him through 1 read before taking off way too early

1 good performance in 6 games is not a mistake, and arguably even that was just 1 quarter. Teams know how to attack this many weaknesses by year 3. On the flip he doesn’t do much well that allows Payton to open up the offense. It has to be pared down into a YAC heavy route limited passing game because if the Broncos want to win it can’t be anything else. Even with an elite OL and above average skill position guys

It comes on a good slate but all 4 of their wins are by one possession. Any less hiding him and they’re flirting with 1-5. He’s been that poor
