Myles Brennan was 12-16, 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. Justin McMillan was 7-15, 169 yards, 1 touchdowns. Lowell Narcisse was 6-13, 38 yards. I thought the quarterbacks made tremendous improvement today and it was because of the protection on the offensive line.
Racey McMath had his best day. Drake Davis had 4 catches.
Nick Brossette had 23 attempts for 58 yards. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 16 attempts for 86 yards and 1 touchdown. Tae Provens had 7 rushes.
Neil Farrell had 10 tackles, 5 TFLs and 2 sacks. John Battle had 7 tackles. K’Lavon Chaisson had 7 tackles, 1 sack. He could’ve ended up with three or four sacks.
Overall I thought it was a pretty good day in Tiger Stadium. We threw a lot at our guys today.
No. 1 it was the protection. There were some routes that were open. Today the quarterback had time to throw the football. When the receivers were open we made some plays downfield with our athletes.

We’re very multiple. We run the ball out of 11 and 12 personnel out of spread sets. We’ll run the ball out of 21 personnel when we need to hammer the ball. But we have some quarterback runs. We have short passes, deep passes and intermediate passes. We haven’t put in the draw and screen yet but we will.

Hmm. Putting 12 on the field might just be the advantage we’ve been missing.

“We are going to be multiple”

This is going to be his line, just like Miles “had a want” to make the offense great

It’s all just BS for not knowing what the hell you are doing on offense

Much better than offense not getting a single first down this go round.

It was a scrimmage not a game. They dropped back to pass almost 50 times. That’s two games worth of passing. Two sacks for Farrell and one for Chaisson don’t seem excessive.

Does O get credit if this revamped offense works with the personnel on this team?
At least so far, it appears O is not going to try and pound the ball without a proven RB which is a good sign.
A Rams/Saints/Eagles type offense could work very well with this personnel this year.
Helaire did a lot of this stuff at Catholic and that's how he was used with Miles son when both were there. Helaire in open space and he can catch the ball well in the screen and draw game similar to what Eagles did with Foles.
