That's still an ongoing competition, IMO, as neither guy has done anything to separate or dismiss themselves from the job.
I don't know if Bolden is better than Rivers. I can't say one way or another.
What I can say is that it doesn't concern me that Bolden is struggling a bit one week into practice in a brand new offense.
I think a lot of people watch football at such a high level that they don't realize all of the work and time that goes into playing the game. Very, very few players can walk into a new program and immediately make a positive impact. I don't think anyone, including the coaches, expected him to step on campus and immediately be the 2nd best QB on the team.

I hope Bolden and Rivers do not take any meaningful snaps this year. I don't want to throw Rivers in the fire with no sec experience whatsoever and him get rattled. I also don't want Bolden to take significant pt because he was below average at pen state and that is all we hsve to go off of right now. If Mett did go down I would think Bolden would come in because he has played big time college schools like alabama before and will know what to expect. That doesn't mean he can handle it, but maybe practicing against LSU's D everyday will help him. The ability is their. Sucks Randle has been a disappointment, I had high hopes for him.

Not sure what people expect from this guy. He's a failure in the Big Ten, what makes anyone think he'll ever be a adequate backup in the SEC? The dude couldn't even cut it in an inferior division.

No one knows whether or not he will be an "adequate backup".
Players do improve sometimes in a different system and with different coaching.
I'll never understand the rush some seem to have to label a guy this or that who has been working with a new team all of a freaking week.
How bout we cut the guy a break and just wait a tad...he is a Tiger now.
