Oh I fully agree with you. Football is king and always will be. So no AD will be fired over the baseball team, women's basketball, softball, tennis, swimming and diving, gymnastics, track and field or any other official sport I left off. I will say that when Dale Brown started getting us to the tournament and the football team sucked, it could be argued that men's basketball was the number one sport for a brief moment.

No one here thought we’d get a 10 win season, and if you did you were lying to yourself.

Kelly won the West and a Citrus Bowl. Pump the brakes, chief. Great start, sure. But let him actually win an SEC title and make the Playoffs before we anoint him.

JJ has the number 1 team in the country and just beat the #5 ranked team in the country. Not amazing but certainly nothing to turn your nose up.

Jay Johnson lost in the regional at USM last year. Congrats on being No. 1 in March, but again, make it to Omaha first before we anoint him.

Good god can you people ever just give credit where credit is due?

Credit is earned, not given. Mulkey (and I guess Woody) has earned the credit by reaching the Final Four in her second season. Johnson's in his second season, let's see how he finishes it up. Kelly will have his second season this fall. Both guys have the opportunity to earn all the credit you want to prematurely shower upon them right now. The bar is high, both Johnson and Kelly's predecessors won national titles. I'm all for giving credit, but I'm not rushing to give these guys credit until they actually accomplish something meaningful.

The men's basketball program is going to have to go through a handful of bad years before things get any better. The talent in that program is extremely lacking after the total annihilation of that roster that came with firing Will Wade. Will LSU be competitive in the NIL landscape for men's basketball to pull in top level recruits????? We will see

Or Or Or, and hear me out on this one, he’s actually doing a really good job.

You seem to be the expert on Woody's hires, how are his hires at previous universities, prior to LSU?

Who cares? He is judged on what he does here.

Doesn’t matter.

Is this Bo Pelini asking about the great hires and payouts?

And no matter what, never, ever, ever forget what he did to the kids on the basketball roster when he left them high and dry and turned his back on them right before the NCAA tournament.
